Start by checking all your fuses. If not, take your time and look for any bad plugs or connections in the wiring harness. Oil or debris might be making a contact you don't need. TAKE YOUR TIME DOING THIS! Also notice Cam and Crank sensor are two different ones.

1999 left door glass off track....how to repair

In most cases, you will be disassembling the inner door panel and window and replacing the window regulator. Because they use as much plastic as possible, you should have a broken plastic piece in the assembly. Remember, when you remove the door panel, you will likely break several of the plastic clips that hold it on, and you will want to buy some new ones to replace those. God bless your efforts.

Where is starter located on a 1999 Plymouth Prowler

nspect/Test/Service/Replace
  • If your testing indicates that the starter must be removed, the first step is to disconnect the negative cable at the battery.
  • It may be necessary to place the vehicle on a lift to gain access to the starter. Before lifting the vehicle, disconnect all wires, fasteners, and so on that can be reached from under the hood.
  • Disconnect the wires leading to the solenoid terminals.
  • To avoid confusion when reinstalling the starter, it is wise to mark the wires so they can be reinstalled on their correct terminals.
  • On some vehicles you may need to disconnect the exhaust system to be able to remove the starter.
  • Loosen the starter mounting bolts and remove all but one.
  • Support the starter while removing the remaining bolt.
  • Then pull the starter out and away from the flywheel.
  • Once the starter is free, remove the last bolt and the starter.
  • Once the starter is out, inspect the starter drive pinion gear and the flywheel ring gear.

  • When the teeth of the starter drive are abnormally worn, make sure you inspect the entire circumference of the flywheel.
  • If the starter drive or the flywheel ring gear show signs of wear or damage, they must be replaced.
  • Reverse the procedure to install the starter.
  • Make sure all electrical connections are tight.
  • If you are installing a new or remanufactured starter, sand away the paint at the mounting point before installing it. Also, make sure you have a good hold on the starter while installing it.
  • Many General Motors' starters use shims between the starter and the mounting pad.

  • To check this clearance, install the starter and insert a flat blade screwdriver into the access slot on the side of the drive housing. Pry the drive pinion gear into the engaged position.
  • Use a wire feeler gauge or a piece of 0.020-inch (0.5080-mm) diameter wire to check the clearance between the gears.
f17-28.gif Checking the clearance between the pinion gear and the ring gear.
  • If the clearance between the two gears is incorrect, shims will need to be added or subtracted to bring the clearance within specs.
  • If the clearance is excessive, the starter will produce a high-pitched whine while it is cranking the engine.
  • If the clearance is too small, the starter will make a high-pitched whine after the engine starts and the ignition switch is returned to the RUN position.
  • Every starter should be bench tested after it is removed and before it is installed. to conduct a free speed or load test on a starter, see the free speed test.

Dodge prowler

Cooling system problems are easy to fix as there really is only a few things that actually regulate the temp. Your thermostat is more than likely stuck half open. That would explain why its ok at night but not during the day.

Do your cooling fans come on? If they do and seem to be at least trying to do their job my solution would indeed be your best bet. Make sure your fans come on when the temp gets high, otherwise you may have a bad fan relay.

Remove the rear bumper

Removing Prowler Rear Bumpers First remove the four 10 MM bolts holding the trans cooler and drop it down. Support it by attaching one bolt to the lower hole on the cooler frame. This will keep the weight off the lines. This takes two min. and allows easy removal of the elect. lines. Then remove the four bolts on each bumper. The bolts are 13MM and 17MM. You will need a ratchet, sockets, extension and a 13MM open end wrench. If you remove the rear bumpers, you should replace the rear pan with one of the aftermarket ones otherwise you will have big holes staring at the people behind you. Go to prowleronline.com and check the vendors for a couple of options. Maybe you are removeing them to paint and reinstall. Look at this link for some options .. Mine is the 7th post down. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/014949.html Hope this helps.

Cooling fan relay 98 plymouth voyager

If you're experiencing issues with the cooling fan relay in your 1998 Plymouth Voyager, there could be several reasons behind it. The cooling fan relay is responsible for controlling the operation of the cooling fan, which helps regulate the engine temperature by dissipating heat. Here are some common reasons why the cooling fan relay might be causing problems:
  1. Relay Failure: Over time, relays can wear out or become damaged due to electrical faults or excessive heat. If the cooling fan relay has failed, it may not properly engage the cooling fan when needed, leading to overheating.
  2. Electrical Issues: Faulty wiring or connections can disrupt the flow of electricity to the cooling fan relay, preventing it from functioning correctly. Inspect the wiring harness and connections for any signs of damage or corrosion.
  3. Temperature Sensor Malfunction: The cooling fan relay is often triggered by signals from the engine's temperature sensor. If the sensor is faulty or sending incorrect signals, it may not activate the cooling fan relay when necessary.
  4. Faulty Cooling Fan Motor: If the cooling fan motor itself is defective or worn out, it may not respond to signals from the relay, even if the relay is functioning correctly. Check the cooling fan motor for any signs of damage or wear.
  5. Blown Fuse: In some cases, a blown fuse can cause the cooling fan relay to malfunction. Check the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the cooling fan system and replace them if necessary.
To diagnose the exact cause of the issue, you may need to perform some electrical tests or consult a mechanic with experience in automotive electrical systems. They can use diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs or replacements.
