Un plug Headlight off timer under the dash and replace......timer not timing out......Remove Negative Battery cable and then reconnect the cable to see if the timer resets.....if not, disconnect the battery ground cable to avoid a dead battery until repairs are made.........

Random miss on cylinder 5&and6, change the coil spark plug is still the same, any answer?
Changed the coils on 5 & 6 ?
They may not have been the failed ones at all
You may have all 8 bad, after they been in the
motor for 6 years or more
You can not go by obd codes for a cylinder misfires
on a Lincoln L/S
I have a 2004 L/S V8
I do not have the time to type all night & teach a class,
on how to solve that issue
All you can do is walk one new coil until you find the bad one
or several
If you ever go into ETC Fail safe-- do not replace the throttle
body-- it will be a bad coil
As you have tried to do--I have seen a PO300 codes indicate a failed coil
I have used Mode $06 on professional scan tool to find failed coils
I have had to walk a new coil & replace the old one & move to the next cylinder, until all issues were resolved
That car is unique to anything you will have to work on
Where do i find the fill tool for the 2003 lincoln ls trans?
do what i do with modern cars that have no dip stick ,drill a 3/8th hole in the top of the gearbox with grease on the drill bit to stop the swarth going in ,then refull to the amount specified in the handbook then make a dip stick with a length of galvenised fence wire ,mark it to the level of the oil so you have a gauge mark then leave the wire under the bonnet in a safe place and a plastic plug in the hole or a piece of whittled dowl wood and hey presto no need for any special tool ,making a job dealer only .Remember the men that taught me how to repair things were tank mechanics in the desert fighting rommel and they made things work .Many stories of what they got up to still remain with me .
Transmission slips when shifting
Try changing the Solenoid Shift Pack
HPN-9L2Z7G391A
Was $515.30 / $332.20 five years ago, when I
did mine- on the 2004 L/S
If you have been using it- then you ruined the
transmission & it will have to be rebuilt
If so-- check the two case servo bores for wear & install
bushings if necessary & all valve body mods
P0420 p0430 p0750
Code 750 is a problem with one of the shift solenoids inside the transmission.
Code 420 is for the catalytic converter performance bank one and code 430 is the same thing for bank two. The codes mean the cat is not performing up to standards based on the data coming from the O2 sensors. Sometimes it a sensor problem, and sometimes its a cat problem or something in the fuel system.
