Check in the owners manual, this is most likely the factory system, to confirm that it is not factory check for any disturbed wiring under the dash on the drivers side, pull the hush panel off from under the dash to have a look for the tell tale wiring

Signal light not working

Fords are notorious for improper grounding issues causing lights to not function. If all other lights are working, and you have replaced the defective bulb with a new one and still not working, trace the ground wire from the socket and clean the connection point to the vehicles body/frame.

Try and lock up the vehicle withe the key fob. Leave for 20 minutes and until lock with the key fob and try to start in usual way.
