Fuel filter location

The oil filter is in an aluminum cylinder on the engine. It is not a "spin on" filter, it is now a cartridge-type filter. When you get one, make sure that you use the new o-rings provided in the filter box. The fuel filter is in the tank. Hope this helps, the graciousness of a FixYa rating would be appreciated. Thanks.

How to reset the oilchange reset buttom on an avalon limitted 2008

On a 2010 this is how you reset the maintenance due light. Turn the ignition switch to the on position to make sure it is showing odometer not trip (A) or (B) then turn ignition switch off. Hold the odometer button in while turning the ignition switch back to the on position (do not start the engine) and continue to hold until the odometer shows all zero's..oooooo then the maintenance due light should go off when the engine is started.

What does "vsc" on dashboard lights toyota avalon mean?

The VSC is the Vehicle Stability Control. It appears there is a fault in the system somewhere. Also, if your Check Engine light is on, the VSC light will usually kick on as well. Fix whatever is causing your Check Engine light to come on first, and see if that also solves the VSC issus. I hope this helps! :) -Jason

FUEL FILTER LOCATION

no sub model stated so i pick limited.not: xl,xls or touring. why ask this? we need to know that. read on... common question, you look in front of tank and its missing? why do you ask?, doing home service and someone told you to do this. or your are reading the oper, guide under service and saw that there? bingo its NOT EVEN STATED in the service list. for good reasons... because its IN THE GAS TANK part of the FUEL pump. this system is new, a return-less system, so the regulator is in the tank too... but on this car the pump pulls from under rear seat.. a nice feature. this system is and EPA mandate. (keeps fuel cooler)

Rear defroster not working

Sounds like a fuse has gone. Find the blown fuse and replace it, as some fuses work more than one thing. Mirrors and rear heating windows run off the same circuit. The symbol should be the same where the fuse is located on the bord as the one you press to turn thegheaters on for the window and mirrors
