PO500 vehicle speed sensor 2004 toyota sienna
VSS is in with the TCM in the transmission. If you have tyre pressure senders then the light is telling you of a malfunction in that area . ABS will not operate unless a wheel stops under brakes and then only that wheel receives attention from the ABS unit. So if you are on a hard surface road and braking normally there will be no ABS action at all. Under heavy brakes when the wheels start to skid you will feel a pulsation in the brake pedal and that is the indication that the ABS is working. You will in affect (when the ABS is working) take a greater distance to stop than normally expected.
Cable on power sliding door broken...will not
We'llspeaking from one that has change SEVERAL of these. If you havent done itbefore its a pain in the ****. I have done so many that I can do them in about30 minutes. You can do it with or without the door on the vehicle.Personally I do them with the door off. You can't fix the cable if its broke. The cable has to slide down 2 sets of sliders and in and out of the motortheres no tolerance for a splice anywheres. I had no idea those motor assy werethat expensive. The way this is changed isyou remove the door. (disconnect negative on battery, or turn power slide doorbutton to off) Remove the panel, drop the glass down about a 1/3 the way, pullthe 2 rubber grommets off from inside the mod. Remove 2 10 mm bolts, remove theback sash on the door and the inside rear window rail, pull the inside rubberwindow run slightly out. Slide the old glass out, drop the mod down, remove thecable assy bolts (4 10mm bolts) , unplug the wiring harness, remove the 2 10mmbolts atop the rear slide roller, theres also one 10mm inside the door at thevery top near the rear slider. Remove that bolt too, its grey and about 11/4" long. You also have the remove the rear latch lock, 3 T30 torksbolts. Unsnap the cable from the 2 retaining clips and slide the power doorassembly out the bottom of the door. Reverse assembly for the new one. Idimagine they are charging you about $300-400 labor. Id do it for $100 lol No idea where to get a new onereasonably tho. Its sad cause I see 1000's of them daily. Ask me how I knowthis? I work in offline repair at Toyota Motormanufacturing Indiana. 04 toyota sienna xle driver side sliding door not
You need a motor assembly for the power door. It comes with the gears and cables all as one assembly. It requires taking apart the sliding door from the inside. Removing the door panel, door glass, window regulator and motor assembly to gain access to the unit. This is not a job for a novice, and can be a costly repair. Check around for the best price from a place that has experience in Toyota sliding doors.
You cannot just replace a broken cable.
