If there is a check engen light on go to auto zone or O'Reilly's they will check it for free. Could be fuel pump going bad. Could be crank shaft sensor. Or a couple other things new cars are kinda a pane.

Go to a local auto parts store and buy a can of refrigerant (the term Freon is not used any more). Pop the hood and trace an aluminum/silver tube to a colored plastic cap which is usually located on the left side of the car. Unscrew that cap and follow the directions on the can of new refrigerant on installing and you should be good to go.

If the a/c indicator light on the dash is flashing it's either low on Freon or the a/c relay in the fuse box under the hood is bad, open the fuse cover and locate the a/c mg clutch relay and try replacing itIf low on Freon you can try adding some by getting a service kit from an autoparts store, just follow the instructions on it, if it's more involved than this you would have to take it in to a shop.

Could be the lower control are bushing, it apparently is an issue with that model year.  Big bucks (850 CDN$) to fix as the 'whole' front end needs to be partially dropped and both should be done at the same time.  A mechanic should be able to see if that is a problem while the car is on the hoist.  The mechanic should be able to point to the area or point where the contact is being made. Mine lasted till 100,000 km, I heard it on the second hand test drive ( at 90,00 km) and asked a buddy ( a Toyota Master Mechanic) about it and he made me aware of it; i bought the car anyways.

You must remove as many of the retainers holding in the liner for the trunk lid to get at the bulb assembly. You must take the bulb socket and twist 1/4 turn counter clockwise to release it. You then gently pull the bulb directly out of the socket. reverse for installation.

the check engine light has come on because the computor on your vechile has picked up a problem. it could be as simple as leaving the gas cap loose. it will need to be hooked up to an obd2 reader and the codes cleared from the computer. the maintance light would mean that the vechile needs to be serviced and the light reset. your owners manual will tell you how to reset the maintance light.
