My daughters 2003 Toyota Echo
You may have a "parasitic battery drain". (Hint: google "finding parasitic battery drains") Basically, there is something "on" that is draining the life of the battery even while the key is off. Common sources are courtesy lights under the hood and in the trunk; even in the sun visors. Also, anything that is hooked into the cigaretter lighter (or "power port") circuit. These items could be aftermarket car alarms, inverters for operating portable electronics, phone chargers etc. If you eliminate all these and still have the battery draining down, you may have a low amperage short somewhere. To find the circuit responsible, you will have to connect an ammeter in series with the battery negative cable. Say for example that it still shows a .1 amp drain--even with everything turned off. Start pulling fuses one at a time until the amp drain reads zero. The problem will be on the circuit of the last fuse you pulled. From there, you'll have to try and disconnect each item on that circuit until you find the culprit. It sounds tedious and it is.

Whats wrong with that. That is very decent mileage. Even newer hybrids don't get that good of mileage. 5L per 100km is 20km/L. Which is equal to about 56.75 miles per gallon. I would say you are doing fine

Remove the battery from the car and charge it up first and then re install it.Some newer vehicles will disable the fuel pump if the battery voltage is low,even if it is jump started ,as it activates the anti theft system.
I bleed the brake, but
Sounds like it still has air in the lines. Somewhere. It isn't leaking is it? Do they work if you pump em? Does it get hard after a couple times then you can hold it and it does not leak all the way to the floor? Then I would say it has air in line, or lines. Or in the master cylinder. Why was you bleeding them in the first place? Did you change something?
Even if the fluid just looks milky, that is small air bubbles evenly in it. I use a shop vac to bleed mine. Take the cover to the master cylinder off. Start at the back right. Loosen the bleeder and hold the vacuum on it until it sucks clean new fluid. Close it and open it several times until the fluid flows freely from it. Keep a close eye on the master cylinder so it don't run out. Go through all of them RR LR RF LF Then fill the resicvor up and pump the pedal a couple times with motor off. It should be tight then. If not, go over them again.
It will bleed the master cylinder and all. I hope this helps

Thats the wheel cylinder. When you press down on the brake pedal it is forced out spreading the shoes to push againt your drum and stop the vehicle
How do I determine whether
if you are purchasing from a parts distributor you should be able to give them the v.i.n. (series of numbers and letters found on very front of drivers side dashboard read from outside windshield) and they can tell what your car requires. if you found this helpful please leave positive rating.

you sure it's not the brakes? Also sounds like it could be the axle assembly. If it "is" the transmission I don't know of any magic solution only the mechanic could put in. I've used Lucas Transmission Fix before if they aren't too bad and it can work (at least long enough to sell it or even better trade it in). You just put it in where you put your transmission fluid. It's pretty thick so make sure your fluid input is easy to get to or get a funnel with a very long tube on it. If you haven't changed our brakes for a while take one of your front wheels off (try to see if it's louder on one side) and see if the brake pads are down to bare metal. Also look around for other reasons while you have your wheel off. Good luck.

Looking at engine from front
#1 is always closest to the front of the engine or the side of the engine with the accessory belts or the side of the engine that isn't next to the transmission. So if the belts are on the passenger side of the engine compartment than the number 1 cylinder is on the passenger side of the engine. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at
