Is it the PCM also known as CPU? If this is affecting the headlights, It would be a BCM (body control module).

If it is the CV joint (and it does sound like it is), the least expensive option will be to replace the CV joint. In the 4 cylinder, It Should be Toyota Type T, T-II ot T-IV, which translates pretty much to Valvoline's "Maxlife ATF" or another brand's equivalent.

The V6 should be Dexron III

If in doubt, consult your owner's manual. Also, a reputable dealer should be able to tell you at no charge on a VIN lookup

This means you have a dead spot on your starter. It will happen again probably when the starter stops on the dead spot in the future. If it does hit the starter with a mallet to move it off the dead spot then try the key to start it. Best of luck. Bro
