Possible alternator failing. Have charging system checked.

what engine, find that out first, all cars, all engine jobs. first. 5S-FE , 3Vz-FE , 1mz-FE, ? 3 engines. The belts may look good but a glzed belt will cause a noise, have the crank pulley checked to make sure the center rubber that holds it together is not spinning and causing the noise, if its good then have the belts replaced, and that should solve the problem,

A couple of things come to mind: if it wasn't screeching before replacing the belt, you may not have routed the belt properly - especially around the belt tensioner pulley; or the bearing on that pulley may need lubrication or replacement; or the A/C compressor bearing may have failed causing excessive resistance on the new belt resulting in screeching. Also, if the belt was not routed properly, the screeching may be coming from another belt-driven (power steering pump, water pump, etc.) but it doesn't sow up until you engage the A/C with its additional drag.

Can you post a picture? Are you sure it is a Cover and not a solid wheel? Hub Caps do not normally come off difficult
