How to install variable valve timing solenoid and where is it

which engine exactly,? Engines:
  • 2001-2007 2.4 L 2AZ-FE I4, 155 hp (119 kW)
  • 2001-2003 3.0 L 1MZ-FE V6, 220 hp (164 kW)
in the factory FSM book ,see page on correct engine. at alldata.com , log in bingo.... easy huh. same deal, know engine. there are 4 valves on the V6 the vvts are right next to the cam cogs,,,,, ones a sensor other a solenoid. here is the 2nd google hit. on 1MZ (i picked at randome) http://alflash.com.ua/RX/1MZ-FE_Engine_Control_SystemRX300_99.pdf does this help, if not post engine real, and country. would be nice.

AM and Fm radio reception poor. Suspect bad ground since radio and antenna have both been changed. The static sound while on AM increases when I press the accelerator. How do I isolate an intermitt

static sound on AM band can be reduced by the adding of a capacitor to the alternator terminal. Check the coax cable especially the outside braid is connected to the body for earth

PO325 error - not switching into 3rd or 4th gear

It sounds like your TCM maybe in limp mode have someone run a scan tool on it maybe you need the TCM rebuilt/replaced... If you do I maybe able to help you I rebuild them/replacement units as well...

Driver's side sun visor won't

You need to replace it. Don't do it with another 2002 sun visor. I did and guess what, it did it again. I also had it replaced once by the dealer when under warrenty. Its a bad design.

In the end I replaced it with a sun visor from a 2004 (I think) model. I got lucky and found someone selling new sets on e-bay. It is a new design so you should replace both so they look right but they fit. As an extra bonus it also had a memo recorder along with the home link and the new visor slides out to give you better coverage than the '02 model. Best of all, the defect that causes the visor to slowly tilt down has been corrected. After 2 years, it's still working.
