Radiator fan

You should check the 30 amp "RDI" fuse and the 7.5 ECU-IG fuse. Both fuses are critical to the operation of the fan system. The RDI fuse sends power to the fan #1 relay. The A/C amplifier turns on power to the fan #1 relay, this is why your fan works on A/C.

Now, with no cooling fan under "normal conditions" (A/C off), you need to have a good fan #2 relay, and a good water temp switch. This switch is on the engine, near the thermostat housing (I think); with a single plug, with a white with a blue trace wire going to it. Remove this wire from the sender, and jump it to ground (anywhere on the metal of the engine) with the key on (engine OFF). If the fan starts, you need a new water temp sending unit. If not, then consider a new fan #2 relay. This system is pretty simple.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. I am guessing you have an electrical issue somewhere. I have had the same problems with vehicles and it is a pain in the neck. It starts with one part and soon another and another. I would advise you to have it put on a machine. This is the best way to do so and it will save you time and money. If it is electrical, it can be hard to find. Check all your wires in the starting circuit. Make sure your terminals are cleaned and connected tight. Check your wires around the starter and the alternator as well. Make sure all your grounds are grounded properly. All your grounds are black wires. Make sure everything is hooked up proper. Sometimes, when we change parts, we can often forget a wire or hose. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and thanks for using FixYa.

My 2002 toyota echo drains the battery over night.

More than likely battery doesn't hold a charge overnight. After time batteries don't charge as deeply and can't hold a charge. Jump start and take to any good parts store and have them load test your battery (they do this FREE) Autozone or Advance would be my first choices. While there have them test your charging system - they do this FREE also.

How do you fix an Igniter Circuit Malfunction -

The problem 95% of the time is an ignition coil, if you do not have special equipment, your only tool is common sense, disconnect plugs from spark plugs, remove spark plugs, now insert the plugs in the wires and set them together touching metal ground them,
Ask somebody to crank vehicle one of those wires or 2 of them if the coil is bad wont fire or the spark will be weak and orange, blue is ok. Follow the no spark or weak spark to the coil, now swap coils , repeat the same procedure if the problem follow the coil to the wires that were ok before the problem is the coil if the problem is still in the same position the problem is harness wires or computer. How do I replace the

Open the hood and directly in the front you will see an opening to get your hand in. Use a light to see where the back of the headlight assembly is. Then you will see two plugs going into the case. The one closest to the middle of the vehicle is your headlight bulb. The one closest to the outside of the vehicle is the signal lamp. All you have to do is just grab the plug and turn it counter clockwise to release it from the headlight assembly. Once out just remove the bulb from the plug and replace with identical number bulb. Push back in and turn clockwise to lock in place. That's all. Good luck and happy motoring!!

My check engine came on

If you can post the exact code that was read with the check engine light it may help with diagnosis. Toyota sensors should be replaced with Denso brand. Many other brands can create problems with Toyotas, especially Bosch.
