2002 Toyota Camry Solara - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

If the seat track mechanism has play, it is possible that it is binding up because it reached the rearward limit of its travel, stalling the motor. You can try having someone <carefully> force the seat forward from behind as you engage the "forward" function of the switch. This may be enough to "unbind" the mechanism- if this is the issue.
Otherwise, it is likely that the forward function of the ower seat switch is no longer working. You could try to spray some electrical contact cleaner into the switch (being careful not to stain the seat upholstery), let it dry and then try the switch again, possibly wiggling it as you push it forward. If this works, it is likely a temporary fix and you should replace the switch to prevent it happening again.

If you turn car off and remove key from ignition, th? headlights will stay on until you open the driver side door, its part of an auto on headlight system. you can leave your selector light switch on the headlight position or on the daylight lamp relay (DRL) position. and open the driver side door and the lights will go out and not stay on. so it saves running your battery down. That feature is only on SLE trim line on the Solara.

Check your fuses with a test light. if they are good then you may have a shorted circuit board.

Traction control uses several things to work probably including brakes, wheel speed sensors, etc. If only the Trac off light is on then there is a problem with the traction control system.

In my experience, clicking is usually a battery problem. I suggest taking the battery to your local auto parts store and having it tested to determine if it is okay or not.

Found this on the web. not sure if this will help you:

Battery changes (203)
Needed will be a set of leads and a slave battery,
push the red button on the bonnet stay in to open the bonnet to its full
just next to the battery you will find a red cap with a + on it, this is the so call jump point, this is where you would connect your positive lead from the slave battery, on the off side you will find an earth point bolted to the top strut, use this for your earth lead from slave battery, now the car is live, disconnect the positive lead from the battery and tape up fully, this will stop any shorts, where the lead comes thought the plastic, you can lift up the small bit of trim and remove lead right out the way, just be aware that the clips holding this trim are very sharp, then what I do is pull the lead right out the way and tuck it under the brake pipes, hence the tape, disconnect neg lead and battery clamp, replace battery, do not disconnect slave battery until both leads are back onto new battery otherwise damage COULD be caused.

there should be a trunk release latch in the car my Camry's release latch is on the floor next to my driver side seat it says trunk right on it along with the release for the gas door thats a picture of a gas pump hope this helps you if its not on the floor there look along the underside of your dash for a button some cars even have them in the glove box although i don't think that applies for an older Toyota like yours

it sounds like you have a broken gear in your transmission

try to disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes. hook it back up and make sure you have the positive and negative wires on the right terminal. wrong way can short and burn your entire electrical harness. Check the fuses.

Standard size is 205/65R15.
Optional size is 205/60R16.
205/55R16 may not be close enough but a tire store should be able to tell you for sure. You would have to have the optional 16in wheels already on the car.
