Hi.
The misfires do not depend on injectors, but are consequence of the VVT problem reported by OBDII code P1349. VVT problems result in incorrect mixture or incorrect timing, thus in misfire.
VVT means variable valve timing.
I quote from Toyota service bulletin for P1349:
"The VVT system constantly adjusts intake valve timing based upon operating conditions. The ECM controls the Oil Control Valve (OCV) with a variable duty cycle. The Oil Control Valve then supplies oil to the advance or ****** side of the VVT Controller. The oil applied to the VVT Controller will cause the intake cam to advance or ****** depending on the position of the Oil Control Valve. The ECM verifies that the desired camshaft angle has been achieved by monitoring the camshaft position sensor."
First change oil. If oil is too old or if oil level is low you get VVT malfunctions. Change also oil filter if you have not done it already.
If that does not help, the following must be tested:
- Valve timing
- Oil control valve
- VVT controller assembly
- ECM
Please see the service bulletin below for more details.
Service Bulletin uploaded here.About fuel pressure, if you get P1349, that is unlikely involved in the problem.
Many Toyota engines do not have fuel test port. In that case you use an adapter on the fuel rail, like in the picture below.
