2001 toyota sienna 3.0 V6 random missfiredorder on

Are the coils more than 6 years old ? Maybe you need to replace all of them or the ones on the bank that have the misfires Without professional tools all you can do is walk one new coil at a time & then drive it,to see if it clears up. If you have a flashing MIL Lamp, that is a Class A cylinder misfire & you do not want to test drive that & ruin the converter I suggest you do not remove the coils when the motor is running,we are not back in the 1960's,you can ruin things in the ignition system with the secondary open Always use a tool to ground out your coils or plugs

How to replace bulbs for ac/ heater control unit

1. Remove the dash around radio (just clips)
2. Remove 2 screws pointing up . (You do not need to remove screws which are parallel to the floor)
3. Remove screw pointing up on the bottom of the dashboard on left side of the driver (near left leg).
4. Remove 2 screws pointing up in the instrument cluster area.
5. Put car in 1st gear and gently remove black plastic surrounding instruments (it will have ait vents, so slide it carefully out not to damage foam insulation on air ducts; start on the bottom hear steering column) ; unplug connectors to clock and emergency flashers.
6. Remove 2 screws, now exposed, near instrument area, holding dashboard. (that was what I spent most time on, I didn't know about this screws.
7. Now gently remove (or move up) dashboard (around instrument cluster and heating controls.) Start next to ignition (careful not to damage the bulb next to the ignition.
Since you only need to get to the heating controls block, I only move up the dashboard next to it.
8. Remove 2 screws that hold the heating control and slide heating control out . This step is unnecessary If you totally removed the dashboard.
9. Pull out lever controls for fan speed, zone and temp
10. Use the screwdriver (flat) to pry 2 plastic tabs on top and on the bottom of heating control so black cover can be remover.
11. You did it! two bulbs are going to be under the cover.

When turn on airconditioner the air too smell no

The system is full of 'stuff', the filters are dirty etc. Get it cleaned in a professional shop. Or you can buy a quick first aid: a scent'bomb', which you let seep into your AC filters. Will keep the air fresh for about a month.

What is the reason for computer on 2001 Sienna not complete cat and evap cycle for NY,

Toyota drive cycles can be finicky, but generally, they need to be driven at 25 mph for 15-20 minutes, followed by driving at 40 mph for 15-20 minutes, followed by 60 mph for 15-30 minutes. This must be done nearly non-stop. inner city stop and go never works. It can be daunting, but it is required for the PCM to complete a full drive cycle. All of these drive times must also be done at full operating engine temp. If it's not warmed up first, all the time you drive will not start counting till you reach operating temp.

What fuse is the one for the cigarette lighter/power supply?

The fuses in the engine compartment are not the ones that run the internal electrical circuits. IF you go to autozone website you can make a free account and then put in the year, make and model and then look for the free repair guides.

I have a 2001 Sienna.

Hi.

The misfires do not depend on injectors, but are consequence of the VVT problem reported by OBDII code P1349. VVT problems result in incorrect mixture or incorrect timing, thus in misfire.
VVT means variable valve timing.

I quote from Toyota service bulletin for P1349:
"The VVT system constantly adjusts intake valve timing based upon operating conditions. The ECM controls the Oil Control Valve (OCV) with a variable duty cycle. The Oil Control Valve then supplies oil to the advance or ****** side of the VVT Controller. The oil applied to the VVT Controller will cause the intake cam to advance or ****** depending on the position of the Oil Control Valve. The ECM verifies that the desired camshaft angle has been achieved by monitoring the camshaft position sensor."

First change oil. If oil is too old or if oil level is low you get VVT malfunctions. Change also oil filter if you have not done it already.

If that does not help, the following must be tested:

  • Valve timing
  • Oil control valve
  • VVT controller assembly
  • ECM

Please see the service bulletin below for more details.

Service Bulletin uploaded here.

About fuel pressure, if you get P1349, that is unlikely involved in the problem.
Many Toyota engines do not have fuel test port. In that case you use an adapter on the fuel rail, like in the picture below.

Remove a stuck tie end tod

The tie rod is a tapered fitted once the castle nut is off a pickle fork is beaten into the space between the rod and steering arm and falls out . no pickle fork then look for the raised portion on the steering arm smack it there 3-5 times hard it should fall out if this does not work suggest a 2 jaw pull and press the stud portion out . good luck.
