I don?t have the owners
If you're looking for the fuse for the dash lights, it's usually the same one for the park lights.
I am trying to replace taillight - how do you take
This is an easy fix. There are two pins on the outboard side of the cover that fit into the body that must be disengaged. Open the rear hatch, Remove the two screws (Philips screwdriver) on the inner side of the cover and gently tap the whole cover towards the outside of the vehicle. The bulbs are easily accessible once the cover pops off. they are a 1/4 turn bayonet mount. Simply turn the lamp mount (where the wires go through) ccw and the base will come out of the lens.
Brake vsc off and abs lights are on
Krafty930 with brake, VSC off and ABS lights on. You share a common problem with many Toyota owners. My 2003 Sequioa has the same issue. There is no solution. Dealers will replace the air sensors and then the computer all for $2,500 - $3,500. This will not solve the issue. The internet has thousands of complaints re this problem, but Toyota has disowned the issue and declined resolution, even for vehicles under warranty. The lights drive me crazy and I still don't know if there is a functional problem, a wiring problem or a computer problem with the VSC system. To date, I have learned of no reports relating this problem to vehicular deaths, so I really am not holding my breath waiting for Toyota to provide a solution. Sorry that you share this problem, but perhaps my response will help to stop you from "spinning your wheels" too much trying to resolve this issue.
What is the vsc off and trac off light mean?
it means the vehicle stability control and traction control are not working, mainly effective in wet or snow conditions, they control wheel spin for better traction an reduced the possibility of drifting in corners, all controlled in a ecu in tandem with antilock brakes , could cause you to spin out on gravel or low traction areas
I have a 2001 toyota 4runner and the check engine
Was your charcoal canister replaced? Has anybody inspected all the hoses that connect to the canister. They could have replaced the canister and valves and not the hoses. A dry rotted, cracked hose can cause the check engine light illuminate. Oh yeah, stop topping off your gas tank. When it clicks.......don't add anymore.
Abs light is on in the swich board
First there is no magic fix for this, generally you need a OBD 11 scanner to identify the fault. Auto Zone I am told do this service for free and tell you what the fault is.
There are however some things that you can check yourself first.
Check your brake fluid levels in the master cylinder.
Check your fuses to make sure that none are faulty.
Check that the wiring connectors to the ABS pressure pump system are properly connected and not corroded.
Check under the car at the four inside wheel hubs that the ABS wheel sensors are in securely in place and that the wires are properly attached and not damaged or lose. Most ABS faults are from the wheel sensors.
Check the wheel bearings to make sure that they do not have any play. This will result in the wheel sensor showing a fault.
Replacing Headlight lamps
you are just replacing bulbs not the whole lamp i presume. The bulbs are held in by a ring that turns about a quarter turn counter clockwise to release. Then the bulb will pull out of the lamp housing. Some cars do not give room to do this and you will have to remove objects in the way or take headlamp out of car to achieve
