2001 toyota 4runner valave cover
It is not the year that matters but the engine type. Engines have remained the same for many many years, so covers are very similar. Try checking with a junkyard for one.
I have a 2001 4runner and the tailgate key switch
Well, there are two ways you can solve this problem. I know first hand what has happened, because the same thing has happened on my '01, and you may or may not be pleased. The red-neck way to do it, would be to get on the inside of the car, and unscrew everything you can see on the inside part of the gate, remove the plastic molding on the inside so that you have access to the inner parts ( window glass, motor etc.) Then have at that lock with some duck tape to temporarily secure it in place. The right way to do this, would to replace the licence plate mount which has a small bracket that you mount your lock to with a screw. It's not a cheap part though, so be prepared to see well into $100-$200 from any Toyota parts dealer, E-bay (new) or even the stealership.Or, if you're really feeling creative, you could make (or find) your own metal bracket to mount to another part of the lift gate so that you don't have to worry about breaking a $200 part.
Check engine light blinks
The reason for hesitation of vehicle when accelerating is
due to lack of transmission fluid. Check your ride for any leaks and repair
them. Filling the transmission tank with fresh fluid after repairing may solve
the problem.
Vehicle speed sensor

The canister is $363.00 on Rock Auto.ComI would remove it & test each componentThen replace it as a whole, or get just theindividual parts from a salvage yardBut you'll have to know what your doing,& need a diagram to see how it worksAt that price-- you install yourself-- regardless
