2000 Toyota Camry Solara - Page 3 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Misfire 99 solara
why?
you felt it , or the scan tool told you? or both?
misfire, means.:
that cylinder had very weak power .
takes 3 things to have strong power,
compression at spec. spark and fuel ratio correct.
1,2,3 any can fail, and in that order. order matters.
if this is a scan tool error, DTC, post the codes, or we fail.

Need to locate the main relay for the interior fuse box
I'm not familiar with the car or location of relays. But if all circuits are live under the hood and dead inside I would trace the main wiring harness to where it enters the firewall and disconect it and check for corrosion, broken or heat damaged wires and terminals.

Window on 2001 toyota solara "fell" down. What's wrong?
A few possibilities, either the window regulator has broken, or the bracket that holds the glass at the bottom has come loose from the glass. The bracket can pull off the glass, especially with power windows when you're trying to lower the window and it is stuck from freezing or old glass runs that are trapping the window from moving.
re-installing the bracket to the glass is often tricky, and it is easy to shatter the glass. Often best left for a car repair shop or an automotive glass shop to repair.
You will need to remove the door panel to inspect for what the issue is, and then repair it accordingly.

2000 Toyota solara 6 cylinder seems to hesitate between 45 and 55 mph
ever do the 60k mile tuneup? this decade?
if it does run perfect
and only hesitates for a second (you never said when)
you TIP-IN the throttle. and it hesitates for a very short time (1s) and
then catches up (does it) and WOT is good power.(wide open throttle) up a hill
then that is a BAD TPS. Hard to test and ECU never reports
it for one good reason, the ECU thinks the driver is crazy
so ignores it, (some times driving crazy is justified) see?
like passing, and should not be...
the TPS gets worn and it fails to report your fast foot
and the ECU fails to activate Enrichmode,
the Air meters. catch up, and power returns.
i can test any TPS , i have a scope, to see the glitch failures
most shops just replace it on suspicion.

Diagnostic Trouble Code P1705
Code 1705 is brand specific, for Toyota it is for a problem with a clutch sensor inside the transmission. The sensor would need to be tested by a mechanic or someone with the tools and diagnostic info.

Engine wont start driving with e-brakes on
It could be that the engine has a cracked cylinder or blown head gasket.Drop the engine oil and check for water presence.Check the radiator for oil presence.Pull off the rocker cover cap and check for condensation.Any sign of contamination in either the radiator or engine, is a sign that the headgasket or cylinder is faulty.
