My grandis car lost power while i wS DRIVING WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE#

there are many reasons why , did it make any strange noises before loosing power ?it could be the fuel , ignition system ,battery/charging system , engine sensor , head gasket there is a long list so get a mechanic to read the OBD codes , although on this age car the ECU will be a bit basic so may need to have mechanic spend an hour or so checking things out good luck as it sounds like a favourite car to you

Where is the alternator fuse on a 1996 toyota avalon

main fuse box - it's actually a fusible link, and it will look like a small relay with a clear top. Off the top of my head it's 60A or 100A. I forget whether they are keyed so that you can't put them in the wrong socket. You can probably find one at a junk yard (get a couple) There's a 10GA wire that runs from the alternator across the motor and over to the fuse box. Make sure you identify why the fuse blew and correct it, and don't just replace it. If something violated the wire somewhere causing a short, it could be intermittent or it could cook the harness. Good luck!

Getting in the trunk the relese button isnt working

Check where the wiring harness runs up the drivers side trunk lid support arm. I just fixed that exact same problem on my Caprice. The ground wire is probably broken. When that happens, there is enough to pull the soleniod when there is no load, but when the trunk is closed and there is a load on the latch, there isn't enough power to pull the soleniod open to release the trunk. Is your license plate light working? They use the same ground. -------------------------------------------------------Launch X431 Master
