As long as the seat belt is working ok, I've never heard of needing to replace it when doing the air bag.

not quite enough info, but the bearings usually need to be pushed out in a hydraulic press

in the middle there is a joiner from one side of the fuse to the other if there is a gap between the two then thats the one to replace

they are all in metric sizes,please do not use an adjustable !!! (you measure flat to flat)

White smoke is usually a sign of water in the oil,being burnt along with fuel in the cylinders.

Check your oil if there is a milky white color on the dipstick then you need to take it in for service.

You may need to have your fuel sysytem cleaned and checked,sometime white smoke can be from improper fuel mixture.

there are very small oil galleries in that engine and the varnish will build up and restrict the flow of oil and it will leak past the valve guides.
do a compression test,and if it is good,the oil is not burning from the rings.,but from the valve guides.the seals need to be changed.

could be wind noise, do you have a roof rack. turn the door mirror inward and try down the road, check generator belt !! good luck.

U HAVE SEVERELY OVERHEATED THE ENGINE FOR SOME REASON, U MAY HAVE LOST THE COOLANT FROM THE ENGINE OR THE WATER PUMP FAILED, THAT AWFUL SOUND IS KNOWN AS "DIESELING" AND IS CAUSED BY THE RED HOT ENGINE CONDITION, AT THIS POINT ALL U CAN DO IS GET THIS TO A TRUSTED REPAIR SHOP AND SEE HOW BAD THE DAMAGE IS, BUT BASED ON WHAT U HAVE SAID YOU WILL NEED MAJOR REPAIRS.

No spark from where? If not at the sparkplugs, then go to the coil and just check in reverse...

Before you do that, after you changed the thermostat, did you bleed tge air out of the system? If not, you'll still overheat. Click my screenname, go to my Tips and Tricks, and follow the procedure there for burping the cooling system and see if that fixes your overheating problem.

Do you know what trouble code the Previa is throwing?
You may want to check the little 1/2 inch diameter passage in the throttle body that connects to the EGR valve. If that passage gets clogged (and it usually does), It'll throw a check engine light. I was having a similar problem and found that this passage was completely blocked with carbon deposits. You can clean it out with a small screwdriver and a shopvac.

There is a hatch under the driver's and passenger's seats. The driver's seat hinges up to access the oil dipstick and throttle body. The passenger seat must be removed to access the hatch below it. Sounds difficult, but there are only 4 bolts to remove.

I believe its location is printed on the underside of the fusebox cover. If you haven't found the Previa fusebox, it's in the center of the dashboard just above the radio.

Depending on mileage and how well maintenenced the vehicle is, the valve seals within the cylinder heads can get worn out. When they wear out you can get smoke from your initial start up. If it is a persistant smoke then most likely it's the piston rings that are worn out.
