How do you remove the ignition switch from a
Hello,
The ignition switch is located by the right side of the steering. In some cases, all you have to do is to turn the ignition key to the acc and it will pop right out.
If that does not work, then follow the steps to remove it :
- disconnect the negative terminal on the battery,
- Disconnect the small 16-gauge wire that is on the rear of the starter by simply pulling it off, it is attached with a spade terminal
- Remove the large nut that is at the back of the starter, using a wrench. The large nut secures the battery and wires. Remove the wire.
- Remove the bolt that is securing the starter to the transmission using the appropriate socket and ratchet. Then remove the starter.
Take care and good luck.
