Red flashing light under passenger airbag sign.
The flashing red light that looks like a car is the "Security Indicator". This flashes when the vehicle is switched off, to alert potential theives that the 4Runner has an Anti-Theft system installed. Do not worry about it, the flashing is quite normal, and the bulb is really a Diode, and it will not drain the battery.
I hope this has answered your question.
Thanks for choosing FixYa to anser your question.
Air conditioner not blowing
So you have no blower at all?
None of the blower speeds work?
Not important whether you have heat or a/c,
you need the blower working,correct?
Need a diagram of where the blower motor resistor is
or google a picture
Unplug the blower & eliminate that, by putting battery
voltage directly to it
If the question is about no air conditioning, then you know
what to do
Have a shop diagnose the a/c system
Does a 2008 4runner have an interference engine?
Vehicles with "interference engines" will catastrophically damage the engine valves if the timing belt fails, instantly. The VIN and owner's manual may be able to tell you which type you have. From what I've seen, yours is not that type.
However..
Why take a stranger's word for it?? You should have your VIN ready when you call the local Toyota Dealer's service department. They will be able to determine which engine you have with no uncertainty and tell if it is indeed a non-interference engine or not. Plus, they'll be able to tell you at which mileage the belt should be replaced.
Good luck!
ERR 3 IN MCD PLAYER CAN I REPAIR IT
No because the error codes are for the repair shop and no info is published on repair or parts sold to the public. They got you on this one.
1997 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SR5 WON'T SHIFT OUT OF PARK
You have a blown fuse for the brake lights. The shifter will not come out of park if the brake lights do not work. The crusie will not work, either. I will bet that there is a short in your trailer wiring, and it popped the brake light fuse. Easy to check; get in, start it up, push the brake. If there are no brake lights, the fuse is your problem. Please respond if this helps. Thnaks for choosing FixYa.
2008 Toyota 4Runner
maintenance light is
You were close with re-setting the trip miles. Here are the steps:
(1) Turn key on, but do not start car. Keep pushing the trip miles button until you get to the odometer miles (the total mileage of the car), not the trip miles.
(2) Trun key off.
(3) Push and HOLD the reset button with one hand, then turn the key on (do not start the car) with the other.
(4) While you continue to HOLD in the reset button, you will notice the various warning lights blink and turn off. After about 10 seconds, release the reset button.
(5) Turn key off, then turn key back on and start car. The maintenance light will be off.
2006 Toyota 4runner sport 4.0L
Hummmmmm........ either:
(1) Your front struts are worn out or leaking; or,
(2) Your driving style is too aggressive or loads too heavy for your stock suspension to handle.
Jack the front of the car up and remove each front wheel. Look at the strut body to see if there are any signs of leaking fluid or if anything is broken or otherwise amiss. If the struts are leaking, then I suggest you replace with something other than standard replacement Monroe shocks (either Blistiens or Ranchos). If the struts are not leaking, then maybe your driving style is too aggressive for the stock suspension. If this is the case, then upgrade as necessary or change your driving style. Front suspension upgrade would start at $700 and go up from there depending upon the modifications.
