It's located underneath the air filter on the frame, remove the upper air filter housing you will se three bolts inside remove them and remove the bottom of the air cleaner housing, then you can see the fuel filter, you can get an aftermarket filter but I recommend the original replacement from the dealer

2004 Avalon How to

I highly recommend you refrence the FACTORY manuals that have the best illustrations of all clip and screw locations so as to avoid damaging expensive interior panels. Toyota has online access to these at techinfo.toyota.com in an electronic format, or purchase the $300 paper back manual from the dealer.

The fistr pages of this link could help to find some trim panel clips: epapers/21000630.pdf

Hope helps.

Location of cabin air filtr

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow us to assist you.

The cabin aire filter is located behind the glove box, and is accessed by the removal of a rectangular plastic plate. To lower the glove box door to access the plate, you must remove the round cylinder's arm that attaches to the glove box door (on the passenger side of the glove box door), and then squeeze in on the glove box (both sides); to defeat the door lowering stops. One the glove box door is lowered all the way down, you will be able to see the access panel plate. Remove the plate and pull out the cabin air filter.

My 2004 Totota Avalon trunk

The key you are using might be a valet key. Check to see if you can lock your glove box. If you can lock and unlock your glove box with the key then there is something wrong with your trunk lock. If the key does not work in the glove box, then you will need to order a master key from a toyota dealer.

My radio works but no

Avalons had a sound amplifier, when the sound fail the amplifier is bad, the only thing that can disable the amplifier is a short speaker, look this is a common problem a customer puts lots of stuff in the trunk while driving hits a bump one of the box jumps and smash the post of the rear speakers both terminals touch each-other creating a short. somebody working any door replacing a window motor and accidentally creates a short in a speaker. rarely there is a bad connection at the amplifier created by corrosion, just connect and disconnect the amplifier connectors, the amplifier is located behind the glove box is a silver box with 2 connectors the computer is there to that is silver and has 6 or more connectors.

6 cd's stuck in a 2004 toyota avalon

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow us to assist you.

You either have one of several problems.

1) You are using a home-made CD, and the unit is not recognizing it

2) A CD is severly scratched and the unit is not recognizing it

3) The unit has lost its memory of the CDs in the magazine

What you can do:

The radio may just need to be rebooted. That process involves the radio to be removed from the dash, and the unit's wire connectors removed for 5 minutes (do this only if you are skilled in disassembling the dash). After removal, and 5 minutes, plug the wiring connectors back in, turn the key on, and hit the eject button. If the CDs slide out, you are good to go. If not, the unit will need a professional repair techinican.
