2004 Toyota Avalon...odometer light on dash board
I have a 2004 Toyota Avalon. When I put the headlights in the "ON" position; I can barely see the dash lights! Is this a problem with a fuse, the lights behind the dash or the dimmer switch

The plug in the arm rest does not work
The panel where the fuse is on the driver side of the vehicle where your left knee would be under the dash, take off the panel and look at the diagram it will should say acces. I believe it is a 10 amp and you should have an extra in the main fuse box under the hood

How to replace ignition tumbler and keys
The cylinder has to put in the crank position and then there is a button to depress to release the cylinder. Then you can replace the tumblers and springs and locking plate. Usually the dealer won't stock or sell you the tumblers. Ask the how much then call a locksmith and ask him how much. If you have never done this before you have to be VERY careful or you will never get it back together.

Where is the oil filter
As you are standing in front of the car with hood open, the oil filter is located directly under the left side of the exhaust manifold and to the right of the alternator. The filter angles upward, so have a drip pan directly under the filter location when you remove and replace with new. Another tip: The filter removal device that works the best is the type that attach to the end of the filter and you turn with a ratchet wrench. You will need a short extension for the ratchet wrench. Longer one will not clear the radiator fan when trying to remove. Wrap around filter wrenches do not allow enough room to clamp on and turn the filter loose. In some cases, you can hand remove them. This is much easier with the Fram design filter that has the rubber in the bottom of the filter housing; easier to grip and turn.
