toyota echo serpentine belt

is there a tension pulley or just adjust by the alternator?

Answer

The only way to loosen and tighten the serpentine belt is by loosening the alternator and sliding it back or forward. There are TWO bolts that must be loosened, one above, and one below the alternator pulley. A bit of penetrating oil can make things easier.

Vacuum leak-P0171 2000 Toyota Echo. Need vacuum diagram

Failed smog check. OBD Fault code is P0171. I am looking for a diagram of the vacuum system and info on the most common vacuum leaks the Echo has.

A P0171 code does not indicate a vacuum leak; it indicates a dirty mass air flow sensor. This device is located between the air filter box and the intake manifold. Locate it, unplug the wire harness, and remove the 2 screws that holds it onto the intake pipe. Look down inside th sensor, you will see 2 small wires, that are probably covered with fuzzy things...using a spray cleaner, such as brake cleaner, spray the 2 wires until they are clean and shiny. Do NOT use compressed air, that will damage the sensor. When it is clean; reinstall it and drive it. The computer will recognize the now clean sensor, and your troubles will be over.

My EFI fuse keeps blowing in my 2000 Toyota Camry

My EFI fuse keeps blowing in my 2000 Toyota Camry LE 6-cylinder. It normal blows out when I'm making a turn or when I was press the gas pedal. I have been having his problem for a while but I have just been replacing the EFI fuse by myself and my check engine comes off but after a few days it come back on again. How do I fix this problem is it a way to fix this problem by myself or do I have to get an mechanic to do it for me?

found out this is what the fuse is doing so these will need to be checked.
Circuit Opening Relay ( fuel pump relay) (most come to fail or sort out)
Data Link Connector 1
ECM E4-E7
Fuel Pump
Heated O2 Sensors (both)
IAC valve
Mass Air Flow Sensor ( low voltage)
VSV (EGR) (these can get a fault)
VSV (EVAP)
VSV (Vapor Pressure)
EFI Relay (point side)
relay for pump this can sort out if it becomes damaged. EGR can fail at any time when engine is hot. also check the wiring under the dash board near to the clutch pedal the wiring is prom to fall and get caught up in the clutch mechanism and sort out the pump relay. . so would check there first.
