Just a guess but it might be your fuel relay fuse check out the fuse panel on the outside fender wall drivers side and there's one inside the car drivers side there's a little panel that comes off to get at it hope this helps

How do i replace the fuel pressure regulator
Replacing fuel pressure regulator on Toyota Vitz, Yaris and Eco:
1. Remove rear seat.
2. Remove rear service hole cover.
3. Remove fuel pump and vapor pressure connector.
4. Start the engine till it stops on it own and switch the ignition to OFF.
5. Remove the tube joint clip, wrap a piece of cloth around it and pull out the main tube.
6. Pinch the fuel emission tube connector clip and pull it out.
7. Remove the 8 bolts and fuel tank vent tube set plate.
8. Remove the fuel pump assembly.
9. Remove the O ring from fuel pump assembly.
10. With help of screw driver remove the fuel pump locking plate.
11. Remove the fuel pump regulator with screw driver a bit force fully.
12. Assemble the fuel pump assembly in the reverse sequence of dis assembly.

2000 echo shuttering when you accelerate
Sounds like an engine misfire.Does the check engine light come on or flash. If so, it may be a spark plug or ignition coil issue. The transmission can also cause a shudder problem. These transmissions are usually rather dependable though.
