Did not return the fluid from caliper
Ok. I am not sure what you are meaning by "did not return fluid from caliper" but if you are trying to bleed out the caliper, make sure you have enough fluid in the brake fluid resevoir under the hood. And then have someone pump the brakes 5 or 6 times, then hold the pedal down. With the pedal held down, loosen the bleeder screw on the caliper. The brake pedal should go down to the floor.Tighten the screw then let the brake pedal up. Do this until you have a steady squirt of brake fluid come out of the bleeder screw when you push the brake pedal down and loosen the screw. If you keep doing it and no fluid is coming out, then you either have too much air still in the line, not enough fluid in the system, or you have a blockage in the line.Make sure you bleed the brakes at all 4 wheels.Good luck
Why did tail lights fail?
Check the power at the fuse box with a test light.check if the is power at other components.check fuse able link under hood near battery arn,t blown, check switch at brake pedal has power.

Hi there
i have 1997 Avalon
Trouble codes are normaly 4 digits with a "P" or "B" before it. I am gonna assume that you meant P0138 and P0401:
P0138 is
Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P0401 is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected
A code P0138 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
- Faulty O2 sensor
- Short to battery voltage in O2 sensor signal circuit
- High fuel pressure (not as likely)
Possible Solutions
Here are some potential solutions:
- Replace O2 sensor
- Repair short to battery voltage in o2 sensor signal circuit
for info on the P0401:
