first thing first does the radiator fan work properly if it does you move to the thermostat has it ever been changed take it off and put it in boiling water to see if it opens if it does check the water pump see if it has any build

Make sure the vacuum hose is attached to the actuator, try getting a diagnostic code from the cruise control system the instructions can be downloaded by doing a google search.

check the spark plugs gap could be worn out. they usually preset but check the gap. cold start, you have more fuel and if gap is to large on spark plugs it will flud till it can heat up. .

system is air locked. find the highest holes in system loosen clamp too let air esape. some systems have air valve in line some were for this. check heater for heat, no heat, no water, bleed heater core holes. you can park on hill with front of engine up. keep in mind if engine is side ways put front of engine on high side of hill. check to see if fan is working good luck

you arent running valvoline or pensoil are you if you are dump them put castrol 10 w -30w in motor if you still have smoke check your pcv valve truth of the posibility it might just be worn out im talking about light blue oil with regular oil you dont want a high milliage nissan as they basically cannot be rebuilt economically to much work engine swaps ? difficult at best

no if the thermostat is not opening , the temp will go up until it hits the red and stay there possible a blocked radiator core not passing enough coolant at rpm check for transmission not moving to overdrive run fault codes

Hello, there is a coolant transfer pipe under the intake manifold, it connects to the front of the block under the manifold and exits at the rear between the heads where two hoses are attached for the heater and one for the throttle body, one of these may be leaking, in some cases the transfer pipe is rusted and starts to leak filling up the chamber between the heads until it leaks out at the back.

Could be one of the heater door actuator doors stripping its gears. Do all of the vents work and does the temperature change correctly?

There is a 30amp circuit breaker. They reset automatically after a while. When the motors start to go bad, they don't raise the windows fast, and they can throw the circuit breaker. Figure out which motors are struggling and replace them.

I believe you are on the right track. Sure sounds like a timing issue to me. Lack of power with no back fire. You may have to get online or get a manual to verify your timing marks are in fact correct.
