Washed engine will not start
did you like soak the whole engine? what is it doing does the start click at all or does the engine crank and it just wont start? need more info but i would love to help you

hay carolyn, in regards to your issue you are having after washing your engine in your truck well in most cases this kind of thing is common. what had happened is water had gotten into some of the connections in your electrical system causing your truck not to start. all you should need to do is keep your hood up and just let your engine dry out for a few and all should be well. hope the little info i have helps you out if you could let me no what the end result is thanks
Washed my engine and will not start now
check and spray all electrical connections with water dispersant WD-40) clean and dry inside the distributor cap. Clean and dry the HT leads . Clean and dry ECM contacts if in the engine bay
Ignition wires under dash disconnected

if you are not careful. you could start a fire. my advise is if you dont
know about electrics leave it to the professionals. be safe
Engine code 13 and 25
Code 13 is problem with crank sensor. interruption of crank sensor signal. Check connection at harness connector. Check leads for internal breakage. I would check for coolant level being low. That particular engine is known for cylinder head gasket problems.
Brake problem hard to press
When you expeirience a hard brke pedal the first thing to diagnose is a bad or inop power brake booster. First thing to check is the vacume check valve on the booster housing that is connected to a vacmue hose. Be sure you do have vacume from the hose first before replacing check valve.
Fuel supply
check for battery power at the pump. if you have power and you can't hear the pump hum when someone turns the key on and you listen at the tank filler... change the pump. if you hear the pump come on check the fuel filter for clogging and flow.... no flow means bad pump
Transmission
Check the following:
1 Transmission control rod
2. Manual valve
3. Parking lock pawl.
4. CV Joints.
5. Transmission fluid level.
6. Any dent on oil pan.
Alarm keeps going off in my 1997 4runner
Reset the alarm. You can look up how on this model online or go by any Toyota dealer and they will do it for free. It takes them two seconds. Don't let them tell you otherwise. I work there for 15 years. I don't remember this exact model, but there is either a switch on the drivers kick panel or it is a sequence of buttons that you pouch on the remote.
