1992 Toyota Pickup Questions & Answers
1992 toyota pickup won't start and battery won't charge
Sounds like your battery is just too dead, has enough juice to light up the system for a minute but cranking drains it and if it wont charge then deff fried, you could try removing the battery and starting the car with cables to confirm the starter still works. If a bettery is too dead then when you are jumping it, it takes to much of the power just trying to get through the battery.
Do you have to bleed master cylinder on 106 if master cylinder resorvior is empty
You don't have to bleed the master cylinder, you are going to have to prime it and bleed your entire brake system again. When you are bleeding your breaks you never let the reservoir run dry or the master cylinder starts to push air through the entire system. Not just on the line running to your front caliper. This is probably the reason you aren't getting pressure even when you pump the breaks.
Sounds like rubbing or grinding, a constant on/off as if the drum were warped
sound like something catching on the wheel or something in the tyre, if it was a bearing it would rubbing sound constant, could be the splash guard catching, any accident can cause movement and could catch, jack the wheel up and spin it look in the tread, test bearing hands 12 to 6 and 3 to 9 and wiggle the wheel any excessive movement it could be the bearing or the lower ball joint. you need a 10mm gap disc and splash guard, if the gap is too small bent it back. .
22r. Where is engine side brake booster vacuum line connection?
engine vacuum is used to help the brake booster, that really large circular thing behind the master cylinder for the brakes, so it is possible that the brake booster is bad, it happens with high mileage vehicles, check with a brake shop, usually they offer free inspections.
Why does in run bad when cold as soon as it warms up she purs
Here is a maybe, based on my having had problems just like this.
There is a solenoid/switch that screws into the engine block that senses the temperature of the engine/coolant and adjusts the timing through the computer to enrich the fuel mixture ( an electronic "choke").
If and when this sensor goes bad, you will get rough running when cold, as the sensor is not telling the computer the proper engine temperature.
I have had to replace 3 of these on the cars I service in the last 6 years.
God bless your efforts.
92 Toyota pickup will not start
DIYer? I recommend a repair manual from your favorite auto parts store. Is this a diesel or gas engine? Check battery. If there is a "buss" but no start, the battery does not have enough "juice" to power the starter and turn the engine. Battery cable clamps may be corroded. Clean and scrape all contact surfaces to bright metal. There are grean and red Anticorrosion washers at parts store that help prevent this kind of problem. Next may be other connections also need to be cleaned to bright metal contact surfaces. The starter solenoid may need to be replaced, and or the Starter itself, although the internal brushes are usually the culprit. If it turns over but not start you have a multitude of problems. From fuel supply to Ignition. Not a DIYer? Friends, or relatives that are car inclined, Even neighbors that may be helpful. There may be a Toyota truck "group" on the Web that are usually quite helpful. Hope this helps. No start can be a simple or very complex problem. Sort out the simple possibilities first.
