1992 V6 toyota pickup ac recharge is not accepting the refrigerant
If you are using the small cans, remember to screw the valve in all the way to punture the can, and then turn it out to fill the ac. If it won't accept any, it's either full, or the valve is plugged. Push the valve with a nail or something to see if anything comes out, like you would to flatten a tire.
Toyota 4cyl. truck bogs down backfires after warms up
Hi Bennie, When did you last replace the fuel filter? I believe a service may be the answer to your problem. If you have carried out a service recently, try replacing the fuel filter for a better quality product. Regards John
Engine starts fine. Idle
Well, if it keeps stalling every time you open the throttle, the only way you are going to get it to the shop without a tow is to get out and push it.
My transfer case is leaking.
Sounds like a bad seal to me. That is the most likely problem. If you replace the seals you should replace all seals and gaskets at the same time since you have already gotten in apart and this will keep you from having to turn right around and disassemble again when there is another issue later. Best to do it while it's already apart since it will save time and trouble in the future. If this does not help you I apologize.
Truck will not start with jumper cables or new battery. just turns over
I am assuming you mean the engine cranks but won't start, and won't crank without being jumped. If the engine cranks without jumper cables the battery and starter are working correctly. If the engine does not start, you need to know if you are getting spark to the plugs and fuel to the injectors, and normal compression.
Does the timing chain need to be replaced?
You should replace the timing chain every 60-80,000, but if you are like me, I have 300,000 and never changed it. It is all about preventive maintenance. If I had a double overhead cam or something I would have changed it.I have seen timing chains go at 20,000. That's a choice that only you can make. Timing chains break without warning, so a new one is always nice , but personally, I think they just scare you into buying a chain every so many miles, so that you buy another one.Money grab. Good luck
