They can be difrent but in the year you say is probably hanging up under the dash tho some are up under the hood probly near the fuse box

could be a number of things , a fuel filter change won't hurt but i'd be checking the vacuum pipe's , the distributer , spark to plugs condition of plugs , air intake pipe's and air filter , keep me posted if you wish

petrtol engine alloy head then around 65 if this oldie is cast iron head then 75 is ok but a higher setting can be used to make sure its down and you dont have to do it again after a set time of say 85/90

Boiling is caused by a blown head gasket. Remove head and replace gasket. OK?

Have your exhaust checked for restriction. Sounds alot like a clogged catalytic converter.
