just changed the radiator on Camry but still overheating need to change the thermostat I believe but its not where parts place said it should be.
The thermostat housing is on the passenger side of the engine, under the alternator area. You cannot see it with the alternator installed. Not easy to change, but, if you do, buy a Toyota thermostat. The factory 'stats have an air-purge valve, and it is very important. The aftermarket 'stats do not have this valve. Note that when you replace the 'stat the air purge valve should be at the top of the hole in the housing (pointing straight up).

Have a Toyota Camry 2003 and the alarm has been going off in the middle of the night when it gets cold out. Any idea how to fix this so I don't disturb my neighbors. I've had to sleep with the remote next to the bed to shut it off as soon as it goes off.
I have just had my Toyota Dealer solve this very same problem. I purchased a 2003 Toyota Camry second hand. A great car, except for the car alarm going off when the temperature dropped outside at night. Neighbours were not impressed. The problem was in a electrical relay that talks to the ‘Body Control Module’ (damn computers in cars). This is part of the car electrics that controls things like 'auto lights off' when you lock the car, 'power windows' after you switch off the ignition, 'central locking' and a few other important things like 'interior light auto off' (so you don’t flatten your battery if you accidently leave it on). The faulty relay cost me $450 to replace, including labour, but everything works great now and most importantly, no car alarm at night. I cannot guarantee that yours is the same problem but my best advice is to take the to a Toyota dealership and get one of their mechanics to test it properly (they plug your car into a test piece of equipment that can check it properly). Shouldn’t cost you any more than $100 to find the fault and to get a quote to get it fixed properly with a guarantee.

Hi,
I have a 1992 Toyota Camry. When in park or drive the car has a very rough idle, fluctuating between 600-1000 RPM. At times it dips even lower, towards 250 RPM, as if it is going to stall, before jumping back up. This causes the car to shake vigorously. This problem seems to be progressing, seeing as for the past few days the car stalls when shifting from park into reverse. It has also stalled while in drive, forcing me to put the car into park and start it again. Do you have any idea what may be causing this problem? Thanks for you help.
start by pulling hose off egr valve see if idles smoother almost instantly

I have a 1992 Toyota Camry with 327 thousand miles on it. Each time I hit a bump, there is a clunking or knocking noise comming from the rear of the car. The left side is worse than the right. There does not seem to be any bouncing when I hit a dip in the road. The handling is pretty good. Would the noise be from the strut stops, rubber bushings or the actual struts themselves?
-it could be the sawy bar linkages
-but also check to see if the struts are leaking or that it looks damp
-but because you said it doesn't look like it bouncing when you hit a dip most likely it could be that the struts are dead
-check to see the cars ride hieght that would give you a clue

I have 1992 Toyota Camry,V6,XLE.I need to find out how I change the 3 spark plugs and ignition wires on the back of the motor, against the firewall.PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!
The upper intake has to be taken off to get to them. Yes it is a pain in the but, not too hard to do, just bothersome to do this to be able to change plugs. Make sure to be careful when loosening the intake as the head is aluminum and you can damage it if you take a gung-ho approach. You will need to replace the gasket but it is only around 12 -15 $ .

Son moved power seat all the way forward to find something. Seat will not move back. All other seat power functions work fine. Hear click when attempting to move seat back. Removed 4 bolts holding seat to car to see mechanism. Common motor for fwd/back slide has flexible shafts slip fit into worm gear on each seat slide. I removed flex shaft from inboard slide; motor drives outboard slide mechanism full travel forward and back with no problems. Inboard slide and/or worm gear jammed/stuck; any recommendations on how to proceed?
This is not necessary...as many have stated...use a hammer with switch in reverse position. Hammer the seat back...it will catch...

is there a reset switch for my 1992 toyota camry
Hi,
Here is a detailed solution on how to reset your 1992 camry;
1.Open the fuse panel cover in the driver's side footwell by pulling down on the fuse panel cover.
2.Locate the fuse for the electronic control unit, or ECU.
3.Pull the ECU fuse using the fuse pullers in the fuse panel.
4.Turn the ignition to the "On" position and wait five minutes. Then reinsert the fuse. The check engine light will blink several times before going out.
This will reset the computer on your 1992 Camry
Thanks..

where is the fuse box for 92 toyota camry
The High-End fuses (large, high current fuses) are located on the driver's side of the car, under the hood, near the fender.
The general "spade" fuses are located in the car, on the driver's side, behind the little "stash" tray that flips down when opened. (It resembles and old-school ashtray mounted in the center console or door.).
Flip the "stash" tray down and rock it out of the dash. Once you do, you will see a bank of fuses and the fuse-box diagram should be on the back of the "stash" tray.
Hope this helps ya' !
Have a Blessed day.
