The radio may have a short blowing the fuse. The power steering ECU could also be the culprit since it's electronic on a Toyota.

This is a long shot, But check the wire that comes from alternator, to battery. It may be loose at alt. or bad. This happened to my car a while back. God-Bless!

What exactly does the noise sound like? Cyclical means it happens over and over. Have you checked the wheel bearings?

Temperature of the air coming out of vents should be around 40 degrees after unit stabilizes. If higher than that you might just want to check out the freon level of unit.

Replace them... the rubber boots protect the upper joint of the strut, corrosion of this joint will lead to excessive wear causing alignment issues. Depending on your mileage and the type of roads you drive on, it may well be time to replace the entire strut.

check the printed circuit on back of dash for open they can be repaired, also check for open in the signal circuit from the the fuel sending unit

97 000 mi is about time for big service. Denso spark plugs,air filter and PCV valve..remove the hose from the throttle body and clean the throttle with carb cleaner.Don't spray direct inside! Spray on clot and wipe clean inside with wide open throttle. inspect for vacuum leak and broken engine mounts. good luck

It might be that the engine is running a bit rough. Check distributor gap setting. Then check plugs. If not these then you might have to bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic.

Unfortunately many car manufacturers don't like it when people do it themselves, so they have a little b**by-trap they like to spring on you. If you replace the TPS, IAC, etc, the idle will many times no go back to normal and you will need to have the computer "relearn" so it can rest it back to normal! No real reason for them to design it this way, except of course to force you to go to the dealer to get it fixed! Nice little surprise they like to give their customers!
