can you clarify further what you mean by the trans spinning?

may you mean that the engine rpm's raise as you press the accelerator and yet the vehicle does not move?

Unless you have an MI/UBDII checker whitch plugs into your comm port by the driverside knee area, you will have to to get some one to view what is causing the problem.

Most likely a malfuctioning or dirty O2, temp Sensor. There are a few of them. Located on the engine front pipe and exhaust system.

The belt can be worn or a weak diode in the alternator is doing that

I know there was a recall in 2004 for this code as well as others, and unfortunately to remedy this fault code will require a service call to the Toyota dealership and is not something easily fixed or diagnosed by a local repair facility. If your vehicle is still under warranty, that would be a plus.
Best case would be a sensor that is defective, worst case would be the control module.

Not hard at all .Hardest thing to do is to gap plugs.

The dealer will charge you 3 times what it should be, and the small shop on the corner about $50. Unless it is a serpentine belt, then the belt will be $50. Hope this helps.

Your sensor went off because it overknocked.
Try using a different type of fuel with a higher octane.
Erase the code and use the better gas. if it comes back then we will worry about replacing it.

The whole thing is called the 'license plate light assembly', the part the bulb actually goes in is the 'bulb socket'.
