didnt specify vehicle --generic answer --if key doesnt work on door then you have two problems --if fob doesnt open drivers door and other doors try changing fob battery -if no go either need locksmith or AAA service to slim door ---also if key doesnt open door possible lock linkage damage or disconnect --rare that both would happen and lastly make sure using proper fob and key

Use a scraper and "carefully" pull the old gasket off. Make sure you do not damage the surface. It is likely that the previous repairer used gasket cement to hold the gasket on, and that is why it is hard to remove. If you take your time and do it carefully, you will get the gasket off without damage.

I would have your starter tested, then your ignition switch. If either of those two were faulty you would not be able to start your car.

Yes this engine is interferance, if the timing belt breaks or jumps the piston to valve damage will occur, good day/.

that air filter is behind the glove compartment, you have to squeeze the sides of the compartment to remove it. Then slide out the air filter. It can be cleaned depending on the amount of filth on it. Blow it out with an air hose, but be careful to not rip it. Next time, it would most likely need replacing.
