what I have encountered in the past is the ABS module was the cause. what happens is the wire connections become loose and fail to make proper contact, causing the brake,abs, and speedo to stop for short or long periods of time.if equiped with a tach it also will jump from 0 to 1500 or other places. I have noticed that the other components such as speed sensor,abs plugs, or instrument panels does not make all of the above things do this all at once. like I said this has been my findings and only suggesting a hopeful fix for your issue. best of luck to all.

Should be on the oil pan.

bad cable. or detacted. or latch jammed. find any mech, this is childs play to all but can be tricky to recover. one trick is the full middle of cable from side (cuts slack) then person 2 pulls lever. see that magic? remove lever and pull center cable, with vise grips, this can move more cable and move latch further (mech,101) and latch opens. any shop can do this why not ask them , some will do it for free. just to show what great guys can do in 5min work.

old post the cable can stretch, (all do , after long time) on my car the end has and adjuster, to take up slack. others need a new cable. the answer is obvious, if it cant be adjusted, you cant./

you dont try cleaning and lubing mechanism in trunk lid check for debris in mechanism

Check for short circuit and loose connection behind cowling covers.

Could be a transmissioN fault.

Remove old crankshaft pulley ( Harmonic Balancer), by putting sturdy socket,think its 19mm, or 3/4 " on the center crankshaft bolt, with a good size breaker bar, wedge the breaker bar in between the suspension, and drive axle, to keep the breaker bar from spinning, while, you now turn the key inside the car, to engage starter, to spin the crankshaft,which may take several attempts, of turning the key, and putting socket back on, they are very stubborn,to break the center bolt loose, Then remove harmonic balancer, with a PULLER, which requires 2 bolts, in the threaded holes, one on each side of the now empty center bolt hole, autozone , advance, has these to loan out, only requires deposit, which they give back to you, when you return it. Put square key in slot on bare crankshaft, slide harmonic balancer,(crankshaft pulley,while lining up the square key,and tighten crankshaft bolt.

Take it to your local garage and ask them to check it out should cost no more than one hours labor.

did you bench bleed the master cylinder ?

the lower mounting bracket has a long bolt as you have found , the alternator sits between the inner edges of this bracket, which have anti crush collets fitted in the bracket holes , one of these may have slid out when you removed the bolt , try to see if there is a cylindrical sleeve stopping the alternator moving completely out ,if so push this back into the bracket , hope this helps

sure it, all of that is timed. crank , cam and balancer. why not read the FSM and not guess many engines blow up if not timed. per spec. (bent valve ++++_boom) ever heard of interference engines, google that. the FSm covers this , buy one from toy or alldata.com, log in and read.

Yes, mostly on North America market since they are made in USA and Canada. Camry made in Japan or South Asia countries have not been affected. The problem is on the gas padel not on the paint.

so is this a stock RAD/cd? stock JBL 6 disk player in dash>? or? what? name and model # mp3 and wma format. but not DVD or JBL premium 4-disc in-dash CD changer io the single disc player, 3 kinds sold. new. and now comes the big question. TELLS where you got the disk, or name it, or tell how it was made if home made. we dont know that. is said CD a CDDA? or not. (always try CDDA first) is CD a real music disc. from a real store, CDDA, is that. or CDR, or DVDr, or CDRW, or other record-able media is music MP3? files. see, the old units dont play modern media. try 2 real discs, not scratched. do they play? one other way, is to name the radio, brand, like JBL then get the p/n off it. I have a 2007 camry and my driver side visor keeps coming down in my face while driving. I contacted Toyota and they told me that there was no recall. I said that is a very bad safety hazard. Toyota told me that to have it fixed it will cost me $130.00. I work in a automotive parts factory and when we get calls on bad parts that we have manufactuer we replace them. And the parts are for Toyota but the are not the visors. COME ON TOYOTA YOU CAN RECALL THESE BROKEN VISORS!!!!!
