Maybe a faulty sensor on the brake pedal or loose wire to the shifter lock mechanism.

Try cleaning the battery cables with a cable end cleaner tool. You can buy the tool at any parts store, very cheap.

It would not be a fuse problem since all tail and park lights are on the same fuse, you need a 12 volt test light or a voltmeter to see if voltage is getting to the bulb socket, it is the solid green wire coming into the bulb holder.

Try open the door.

The bands are not adjustable.

Your question is not quite clear are you saying that with a new battery and a booster the car starts? But not with the new battery only if so is the battery the right ampage if it is say 30amp and it is supposed to be 45amp then the engine will not spin fast enough to start. If it is the right battery then clean all the connection on the battery and the main cable on the back of the starter if still dose not work then I think your starter motor is failing and you need to replace it

For 2005 Toyota Corolla (and Matrix), the location of the cabin air filter is inside of the drawer (passenger side). Open the drawer, you will see a screw on the RIGHT hand side. Unscrew it with a cross shape screw driver. Unlock the drawer from the screw holder. And take the drawer out of the cabin. After the removal, you will be able to see the location of the cabin air filter. There is a lock at each side of the filter cover. For each side, use two fingers to pinch the lock and pull out the cover. You will see the old filter after removing the cover. Pull it out, and insert your new filter.
Put the cover back. Make sure the two locks are firmly locked. Put the drawer back. To make this work easier, you may lock the bottom of the drawer first, as there are TWO locks on each side of the bottom drawer. Close the drawer to see if the position is right. Place the screw back, that's all
