It is very likely. Have the circuit checked for voltage. If voltage is present, replace the coil. If not, we need to do some further digging. Let me know what is found.

My battery lights and

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

This will mean that it's time for a maintenance check just like on other cars. Please do check the brake pads for they can be to thin and need replacement. Air filter may be dirty which may clogged the air flow going to the engine, air filter will surely need replacement.

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you have the battery checked first before performing the parts replacement. If the battery is near it's break point, indicators on the dash may trigger. If battery is faulty or weak, please have it replaced.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Buying a 2000 GLX duel fuel, has done 330000kms of

what might not occur. first off dual fuel can block injectors etc if petrol is not used frequently. Air flow meters, ecu's, coolant temp sensors, coils, plus and leads, all things ive replaced on these things in the past month or so. 330000 is a substantial amount of kilometres. have problems with piston rings failing and smoke blowing out everywhere. in my opinion i wouldnt buy one ever, but thats my opinion. good luck :)

How do change the coil in a 2000 Toyota Land

First thing you need to do is figure out which cylinders are coming up on the code reader. After determining where on the engine those cylinders are, remove the plastic engine cover and then the air filter assembly. Now, locate which cylinder coil pack needs to be pulled. Disconnect the coil and then remove the bolt holding it in. Pull it out of the cylinder and replace. Perform the same thing for each cylinder which came up as defective. Replace top. Its easy.

Car won't start, battery is good and all you here is a clicing Noise?

The contacts in the starter motor solenoid are worn, the clicking that you can hear is the solenoid being pulled in, but not making contact to allow the main battery voltage/current from getting to the starter motor. Their are 2 things you can do to get you out of trouble, if you are stuck somewhere and cant get going.

Rock the car back and forward whilst in gear, stop and try again.

Tap the side of the starter motor cover with a piece of wood or soft hammer. This will wiggle the contacts and allow for starting.

These may get the car up and running, but ultimately the contacts will have to be replace.

If you can find the starter motor, the solenoid is the small round or triangle box on top or to the side of the starter motor, usually with two small wires going to it.

This is not a big or usually an expensive job to replace. Replace the contacts before replacing the starter motor, a lot cheaper alternative.
