The warning lights should be listed in your owners manual. It could be a warning for one of the gauges, or engine/transmission problems. They are more common on Toyota Prius.

These Toyotas had daytime running lights. The headlights and the taillights turn on when you start the car. If you press the brake pedal, the rear lights (and the brake light in the rear window) should come on brighter. I have never heard of the brake light staying on (The brighter filament in the two-filament bulb). Hope this helps.

It will either be inder the dash or under the hood. Best way to find it is, with the car engine off, turn the key to the on position (don't start the car) and then switch on the indicator. If you listen carefully you will hear the relay clicking. Follow the sound and you will find the relay. If you can put your hand on it you will feel it clicking. Bazinga.

There are lots of reasons for a car temperature to start rising, so check the obvious first and work backwards from that. First check water level, in radiator or expansion tank, if it is low and you have topped up recently, could point towards a leak somewhere, hoses are normally the first place to look, or it could be an air lock in the system. Thermostat is a common problem, could be stuck shut, so not letting the water circulate around engine. Lastly and more drastic is the " Head Gasket" is gone! If you can see oil in with the water, or a emulsified whitish goo inside where you top up the oil, then that`s the head gasket. But you can buy some stuff that can stop it, if it`s not to far gone. I have this same crazy problem with my Camry. When you push the button then open the door on the driver side really quick, the alarm starts to blow off. So what I used to do everytime is push the button to unlock all the doors then open whichever door you want. It won't scream. Try it.

It probably has bolts to hold it in place. You will probably just have to look for them.

it don't do that. it not a FORD, its a TOY. (nice dream though) toyota inertia switch? The ECU controls the fuel pump at all times and keying off any ECU resets the ECU, totally. (not most DTC errors) no engine stated, or country,(some have different parts, so....) why not post the symptoms so pro's can give tests and advice. don't try to guess. is best. no starts, no cranks? stalls? bogs? misfires? floods? what does the engine do WRONG.? were you in a collision, (,that be key , no?)? my wild guess is , it wont start? All fuses tested good, (not gander'ed) 12v on both side key on. do head lights work with full brightness? key on CEL glows.? Is immobilizer lamp glowing? scan tool shows no DTC errors cranking ? for 5seconds? none. so. got spark on all cylinders?, if not, the PCM cuts fueling, by LAW. that is correct. if the ecu even thinks spark is bad it CUTS FUEL. so not scanning it ,is a failed moment. that's what 5min work? what's next?, well that depends on above discoveries. does test fuel fail? need a video for that? in the usa, any scan tool works on any 1998 car. so scan it. got spark (on all not just1) got fueling, does test fuel start engine for at least 3 seconds.? if spark time is away off look for cam timing wrong, belt or chain, yes, some folks do drive chain cams to the ground, ignoring the cry for help. no engine stated . no country, v40? pick one>? 1.8-liter (4S-FE type) and 2.0-liter (3S-FE type), and a 2.2-liter turbodiesel (3C-T type).

Pull the transmission dipstick and check the fluid level because you may need to add more transmission fluid. After that, repair the leak.

If you only have 2 wires use your continuity meter. Connect one side to one of the terminals, the other to any metal part of the pump if you get a circuit, that's' the ground wire. To be sure check the other one the same way, if you get no circuit that's the hot side and the pump is not shorted to ground. If they both give you a circuit the pump is shorted to ground and needs replacing.
