Peugeot 405 SRi: brake pad warning light came on;

Hi Chris
Is there plenty of fluid for the nrakes? they should have little wires coming from the brake pads , normally once you have replaced the pads this light would go out automatically.

It may not be your pads that triggered the light.

Hope this helps

Peugeot 306 temp use to reach 80 degrees drained

The head gasket has gone, is it a 1,6 1.8 petrol? if so its the most common fault on that car. best way to tell pull the dipstick up and look at the very bottom if it looks creamy white then its the head gasket, also open the oil cap and look inside the head and on the cap any white creamy sludge means there is water in the oil, "head gasket"

Hope this helps

As the car was at 98 you will have warped the cylinder head so will need skimming costing £40 new head gasket fitted is about £170 do it your self for about £80

My car is overheating but

NO, your vehicle dont have coolant bottle to add water at cooling system. Be carefull, its possible that you are talikng about the winshieldwasher bottle or brake fluid bottle.

I suggets check this link with the 405 Owners Manual and the right procedure to refill the system (page 98 and next); keep in mind that this is pressurized.

Also, here the 405 Service Manual in RAR format (need WinRar to unzip this file).

Good luck.

My 206 1999 diesel which i have had from new has

In my opinion there is a lose contact anywhere from battery to cabin fuse box. Check all the connections of Cabin fuse box, which is responsible for the supply of display and interior lights. Radio goes off but a main live wire always active for radio to retain the radio code, thats why there is a light although all other things go off.

The electric windows on my peugeot 306 don't work

Hi,
It sounds like a power supply problem. I can't see all 4 motors broken.
First how does the switch "feel" No buttons loose?
Does it illuminate when you switch sidelights on?
If that's ok
I would gain access to the master switch on the drivers door.
I would think you have to remove the door panel and armrest I can't remember for sure, but it doesn't take a lot .
Check and make sure all the multiplugs are connected first of all.
Make sure all the terminals in the plugs are fully "home"
If there is nothing obvious i would follow the loom to where it exits the door and goes back into the car and check for damage.
Check for ANY other electrical equipment not working, if so go back to your handbook and re-check which fuse it goes through.
Also, if this problem has occurred after a recent repair, I suggest you return to the repairer.

Lights not working properly, and horn not working

You may have a loose wire in the circuit or a bad fuse or relay. Check all the wires for current in the circuit.
