Engine light on what wrong

engine light on can be alot of things, it is there to tell you that "Something" is wrong. so what you can do is go to your local auto parts store and ask them to plug into your car and see what the codes are, then they can look them up and tell you what possibly can be wrong with your car. please keep in mind that the codes just give you a hint at what could be wrong, the next step would be to test the trouble areas to pinpoint the problem before replacing parts of any kind.

I own a peugeot 207 and my info came on saying oil

Have you checked the oil since the light came on?

Make sure the engine is off and pop the hood. look on the right or left hand side for the dip stick. Pull it out and wipe it off and then reinsert it and pull it back out. Look to see where the oil level is on the dip stick. Fill accordinly. One notch on the stick is one quart of oil. If you refill the oil and start it up and the lights do not go off then it will be safe to drive it to the shop. Oil is in it. However, If there is loud tap tap tapping noise coming from the motor after the oil if full do not drive it. You have probably lost the oil pump and the engine is not getting oil. if you hear no noises and the oil light is still on you can drive it safely to the shop. Let me know how it turns out, Raz

Peugeot 407 SW 2006 wash wipe, no water coming from front.

The pipe that caries the water come off the connector under the wheel arch, you have to take the wheel off on the side of the water reservoir and the protective lining. Apply a bit of super glue to it, it's not very difficult to do.

I have a peugeot 307 rapier and the ABS light

hi had rhis on a few 307's what you need to try first is remove the o/s/r wheel, brake caliper and brake disc, and hub, remove the wheel speed sensor by undoing the 5mm allen key bolt and clean where the sensor sits then rebuild and give it a run all being well it should clear the fault. if that doesnt work it will probably need the sensor replacing

if this helps please let me know

I cant find the lever to open my bonnet .its not

Hi sometimes they are right up behind the dash, get on your knees and look up behind it. the only other way is to get under the front of the car with a pair of pliers and try to pull the bonnet release cable.

As the car had Duel controls they may have moved it to the passenger side.

My car says 'anti pollution fault' when I start it

If you drive your car more likely for short distances then engine will not get hot enough to start the regenerating process to clean the cloged particulate filter resulting in a antipollution fault.

Drive your car to a motorway or empty dual carriage way (best in nights). The temperature meter should be showing above 60°C when you begin with this process. Place 3rd gear and drive your car at 3000-3500 rev /min for 15 to 20 minutes to let the ecu to kick the regeneration process. Keep driving car for 15 minutes in this state will be enough to clean your catalytic converter and your problem will be solved. But if it doesn't then the problem is with your catalytic converter and more probabily you need to change it.

Unable to open my front passager door from both

Did a seat belt or other obstruction get caught between the door and opening? Try pushing hard on the door from the outside (and near the latch area) to see if it is fully closed. If no help, seek help from an auto body technician.

Windscren washer not working on my peugot207cc

Check the fuse for windscreen washer.
If you can hear the washer motor running but no water comes out then check the washer motor under the side wing cover.
Pull the rubber pipe from motor and then let the washer run to check wheather water will be pumped or not.
If yes the problem is on the side of rubber-pipe to spray-jets on bonet (may be spray jets need some cleaning).
If not then then the problem is in washer pump. The dirt that reside during the time inside washer pump (the plastic pump attached to the washer motor) causing the problem.
Pull out the whole pump motor from tank and disassemble the pump to clean the free moveable conical metal rod and rubber washers (takes about 1.5 hours for cleaning). If you don't want to do it then convenient is to buy another washer (set of motor+pump).
