My turn signal switch will not turn off. It keeps blinking right. It is stuck in the right turn signal mode. HELP!!!
i have the same problem in my 1998 Montero and was surprised to see your posting. I just went to an auto electric expert and diagnosed it as a broken turn signal switch that needs to be replaced.

My 2002 Montero Sport has a check engine light on for quite a while. The code says EGR Circuit Malfunction. I have replaced the EGR valve and that did not help. The check engine light comes back on within the first mile or two of driving after having reset the code. Anyone have any words of wisdom. Thanks.
its an egr CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION which means can be any type of problem with the whole circuit -- wiring --connections fuses relays etc not just the egr valve more than likely the valve was good need to check and test the whole egr system

I cleaned battery post. I started having idle stall. When air conditioner is on, it idles okay. But when I turn off air conditoner the idle drops and engine stalls. I removed air filter, but same problem. Coincidence on battery and idle problem? What could cause the idle to be okay with air conditioner on?
the engine compensates for the load try turning up the idle screw also check the ignition system you might just need new wires and or cap rotor or your coil is bad also plugs

You have to remove the upper intake manifold to get at the wires and plugs. Mitsubishi recommends 60,000 miles for spark plug replacement, if you look in your owners manual they also want you to replacet the spark plug wires also. Timing belt also at 60K

where is the bank 2 sensor1 located in a xls montero sport 3.5 v6
what?? bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine sensor 1 is located before the cat conv next to the frame by the trans bell housing very tight location but is possible to change need a o2 socket that looks like a line wrench but beware if its seized you will have to heat with a torch or you will rip the threads out of the pipe/cat

having issues with slack in this belt and think the screaching sound will stop if belt is tighter
on the engine between the a/c compressor and crank pulley is adjusting pulley its above both of them in the middle loosen the 14mm nut on front of the pulley and turn the 12mm adjusting bolt clockwise until the belt is tight but not too tight if it continues to squeal just replace the belt you do not have to take any other belts off to replace

have had 6 alternators in 4months go bad 3 different garages cant find the problem? every time its good for a month and then light come on the dash and then the car dies and the alternator gets tested and its bad every time?
Alternators shorting out on 1998 to 2004 models is very common. These alternators are located below the power steering pump and it is very common for the pump to leak externally and then contaminate the alternator to the point that the electronics fail.
Before installation of your new or reman alternator, check all surrounding areas for leaks.

How much transmission fluid do i put in my mitsubishi montero sport 2002 3.0l v6 wheres the best place to buy the fluid?
You need 9.8 quarts of Dexron III or later, for a dry fill. A wet service fill will be less, about 6-7 quarts. Autozone or any other auto spares outlet will have it.
