Driving down road about 20 mph car stopped wont turn on

HelloThe engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

SOMETHING POPPED IN THE DRIVERS DOOR AND NOW THE WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP

Vehicles: Any with the above symptoms. The small popping noise was some component in the Window Operator Mechanism breaking - the cable may have snapped, a plastic pulley may have broken, a plastic cable guide may have broken - it could be anything. The reason you can't see the Window Operator Motor or the track is that it is behind the moisture barrier - remove it by carefully peeling it back at the edges of the door frame (so that it can be re-adhered back to the same door frame location without adding adhesive/sealant).When you get to the Operator, be prepared to have to drill out some number of aluminum rivets to remove the OEM Operator, and, when installing the new Window Operator Mechanism, you'll have to replace these rivets with your own Pop Rivets, or they can be replaced with small hardware store nuts/bolts/washers (mechanics choice). Have an assortment of both ready before you attempt your Window Operator Mechanism replacement. If the broken component of your Driver's Door Window Operator Mechanism is actually a missing/broken rivet, then replacing that would fix the Window. But these rivets hardly ever fail - what fails is plastic components in the Window Operator Mechanism.

My radio won't work after i replaced my

Hey Jeff. I can't fix it but a Chev/GM dealer can. One lost the codes to my radio and they said they found them. Had a devil of a time to find them. They should have called me as the numbers where written in the owner's manual by a previous owner. I be the numbers are out there on the web someplace. Might need the VIN to find themRandy

How to fix thermostat on 2001 daewoo nubira

Locate upper radiator hose.It will attach to the top or front of your engine block via thermostat housing.Remove hose from thermostat housing, catch coolent accordingly. Then remove thermostat housing, usually two or three bolts. If housing does not come off easy you may try an jiggle it loose, if no luck get a flathead and pry it off, there may be a thermostat housing gasket, or possibly simple RTV silicone gasket maker. Once housing is off pull thermostat out. Noting it's position, mostthermostats have a small dimple of hole indicating upwards position. Once removed use razor blade to remove old gasket and or RTV.If it's a paper gasket, buy a new gasket with your new thermostat. (some thermostats come with gaskets, others dont). Also while at the parts store pick up a tube of silicone RTV black gasket maker. Now! Once everything is cleaned, mock up the gasket with the housing so you know proper placement. open gasket maker, lay a 2mm bead (read packaging to confirm bead) along the gasket on bock sides leaving no open parts, leave the bead, don't spread it around with your finger. Ok now put thermostat in block, then gasket and housing. Try and install it one swift motion without making a mess. You do not want that RTV to leak out the sides and be all messy!Torque both housing bolts to factory spec. I you don't know spec call autozone, or just tighten them to your liking. Not to tight.Crack open a miller light and wait for RTV to set up. When set up( again read packaging) then install radiator hose. And clamp it down, not to tight, the clamp may puncture the hose if swollen or old. Now, tour good to go, but you may need to bleed air out the system, I suggest taking it to a jiffy lube or shop n asking them to do it real quick, or just ask another question on here and I'll explain!Good luck.
