I need to know where I can go to get a manual diagram for a 1996 Cherokee jeep sport fuse box?

Like answer #1, when I bought my 1993 Jeep Cherokee, one of the first things I ended up doing was go to & join the cherokeeforum.com, i.e. cherokee-forum-dot-com.... I've found that whenever I need advise, or answers to any questions with my vehicles, I look for the forum for that vehicle. 99.9% of the time the folks in the forums give you honest answers..... I even subscribe to a few YouTube Channels, like the one for my 93 Cherokee. That guy is not only smart when it comes to 1990s-2000s Jeep Cherokee's/XJs, he's always doing some sort of repair or modification to one of his Cherokee's or Grand Cherokee's..... Hope this helps all you Jeep XJ Folks out there....

My 96 cherokee sport stalls when i put it in drive it was runni g fine a week ago but now i cant drive it cause it stalls and blows a fuse

Those trucks were riddled with wiring issues as the wiring conduit aged. Most common areas for concern are in the harness where it runs along the frame on the drivers side to the pcm, the firewall on the passenger side, and the injector wiring. In a couple scenarios, we have seen sensors and coil packs short and blow fuses too. Find the fuse. Then obtain a wire diagram for that circuit and find out which wires power flows through and start looking for chafed or melted wires. Very common on those older jeeps. This is very tedious and time consuming work. There are test methods that help to narrow the focus, but dont know what you have for tools or your abilities. Hope this helps

96 Jeep cherokee ran out of gas, re-fuel, won't start. No spark.

You may have to prime the fuel pump. Or replace the fuel pump if that does not work. Why do you let it run out of gas? This is definately not good for an injected motor. It will continue to cause more and more problems. Fuel injectors should never run dry.

My jeep cherokee sport will not start what do I check first?

In a 96 Jeep not many sensors are involved. Basically Fuel and spark delivery at right time should start car if your Starter is able to crank the Engine. If engine is cranking then the battery is Okay. Check Spark directly at the spark plugs and fuel pressure at the fuel rail. You may pull out one spark plug and check spark out of engine. Try spraying Starting fluid in Air Intake while cranking. If Jeep starts then not enough fuel is being delivered by fuel pump. If you find no spark at plugs then check circuit for starter relay, Crank sensor/cam sensor problems. A kill switch or bad Alarm system can also cause this problem. Here is the Elec Diagram: http://www.alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO~V451756054~C28087~R0~OB0~P4R0H~N/0/41746574/56418469/56418476/56418477/34853741/34864081/56251052/56251070/55276088/76721401/58958330/57479434 I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/uttamjeet_2f3adc18600f8ede

4.0 HO 6cyl 96 Cherokee

Oh Oh, better take that to a garage. When under power there is no knock but idling there is a knock? Sounds like a bearing on the crankshaft. To find out start and let it idle then disconnect and then reconnect the sparkplug wires one at a time. If the knocking stops, that cylinder is bad In any event it is bad news, rebuild or new engine Sorry, Merry Christmas

Tach, speedometer and the fuel gauge does not work

there are 2 fuses for the cluster did you check them first? the cluster has a self test. run that yet http://www.morris4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service see 1996 here. instrument chapter. see self test. bingo. then see wiring page. (posted over 200 times here) scan the pcm for network bus error to cluster? yet? 8w-40-1 (wiring chapter) pdc fuse 16 and jb 9 fuses good. if the self test passes? (it will i bet with fuses ok) that means the PCM can;t talk to the cluster on the CCD bus network and will have scan errors. so scan it why wait? all meters run off of live data transmitted to cluster same as your screen you are looking a now. (PC) some lamps are hard wired, like ABS. etc. but above is gauge answers. ive told this story now many times.. here.

I was driving about 60 mph the engine rev up really high then went back down, but I couldn't drive over 25mph with the rpms at 3-4

Have the trans serviced, and check the trans speed sensor. But I'm afraid it sounds like something in the trans is worn out or broken. Could just be something in the valve body, but that's doubtful with this type of problem. The one thing cheaper than a trans that it could be is the torque converter. A shop will have to check that.

How do I bleed the hydrolic clutch on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport

just like all like clutches. carefully, it has a bleed valve on the slave, at the bell housing you bleed it just like brakes. google that or youtube that. 10000s or examples. there. or read the FSM book> http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service posted this answer vast times.. and link 100.s click boxes for car, then clutch chapter and read. but does not cover bleeding, this is base line automech 101 knowledge. the book assumes you know 3 things. 1: constant loss of fluid and why. 2: air is system renders it dead. 3: how to bleed clutch and brakes (same) 5ways but same.
  1. gravity bled
  2. 2 man way.
  3. vacuum bleeding
  4. forward pressure bled at cap
  5. reverse bled at slave.
most times it takes 2 ways, in list, unless #5 is done. air floats up hill is why and clutch lines are vertical. (hard to do)

Where are the freeze plugs a 4.0 jeep head?

There is a freeze plug in the back of the head, hard to see with the head on/engine in vehicle. It will be right next to the firewall with the engine in the vehicle.
