Remove the trim cover around the light, Remove the four screws that hold the stainless steel ring around the light (lots of solvent is often necessary)

How to put belt on

There should be a routing diagram on a sticker usually on the radiator support or near that. If not, give an engine size and I may be able to help.
To remove belt or tighten it up, loosen the bolts that hold the steering pump on. there is a transverse bolt just under the pump that adjusts tension. after adjusting, tighten the pump bolts up and re-check. You should have about 1/2" deflection at the center of the longest unsupported belt run.Too tight will damage alt, pump and pulley bearings...too loose and it will slip.
If belt failed, make sure you re-charge the battery with a good charger. The alternator is not designed to do that.

I pulled too hard on the inside door handle now

likely the rod from the handle to the latch has fallen off or the handle is broken where the rod attaches...you need to take the handle off and perhaps the door panel as well and take a look in there. It isn't hard to do but too long to write out. Either get a chiltons or haynes manual or just be careful and remove all screws. the bottom part is held on by push in "Christmas trees" or clips and just pulls out.

After i drive for longer than about 15 minutes. my

first off check your differential fluid in the rear axle make sure it doesnt have metal shavings in it, best way to tell is put your finger in the fill hole on the rear end/pumpkin and get the oil on your fingure if there is any and shine a light on it if its all sparkly then you have a big problem and need to start tearing into the rear end, possible problems...
spider gears, alxe bearings. and also check the U joint for play in the bearings of the U joint on the drive shaft that will sometimes chatter as well.

1992 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 starter removal

Some models you have to loosen either, the exhaust, the crossmember or even the engine mounts to raise the motor to get the st/motor out.You have both bolts out so it should at least be slightly loose.A piece of wood and a light mallet may "crack"it.Hope this helps you

How to replace a thermostat in a 92 Jeep Cherokee

Thermostat is in the housing on the engine end of the upper hose. Therm is installed with the spring end towards the engine. Make sure you remove ALL of the old gasket material from both surfaces and use a small amount of silicone sealer on the gasket. Tighten evenly, alternating sides and do not overtighten or it will break the housing.

92 jeep cherokee, manual, gear shift resistance

hi, if when you put it into gear and you lift your foot off the clutch then if your engine revs up without the actual power going to the wheels like when you say the revs change this indicates that your clutch is slipping, i wouldnt say their was a problem with either the cylinder master or slave and i wouldnt say it needed flushing out the problem you are having it that your clutch is slipping due to it being to low.

You need to get the clutch replaced sooner rather than later due to the fact that if your clutch plate shatters due to it being running on the rivets and not the actual clutch plate then this can cause the clutch to collapse and this will then cause damage to the master and slave cylinder and if you was driving at the time you would have no clutch at all and the car would be stuck in gear and you wouldnt be able to tow it as it would be stuck in gear.

You need to get the clutch and pressure plate the thrust bearing changed this will then solve your problem.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Horn don't work 1992 jeep

The horn is located in the front bump on the drivers side. You'll need the remove the side cap to access the horn itself. As for the fuse, check under your dash on the drivers side. You will see the fuse box. Printed in white type up-bove each slot, should indicate which one the fuse watches, there should be one for horn. If you can't find it, then one by one remove the fuses and check to see if any have blown.
