I saw one at RockAuto.com. Well known, great online parts store. Their catalog makes it easy to look at everything they have in stock for your 1965 model. Best thing about RockAuto is they usually have the lowest prices on everything. Do-it-yourselfers give them a lot of business.

If you cannot find the answer n matter what you do, and time passes with the problem still needing an answer, try to buy a "service manual" for that car online. I used to have one, but discarded it. Ask on e-bay or Amazon or somewhere. The back of such service manuals ( very thick soft cover books) have a wiring diagram inside with color codes. God bless your efforts.

I just found out that all that you have to do is . You have three options to go with one change the bellhousing from a borg warner m12 transmission. two use and borg warner m12 transmission but use the yoke head from the m8 onto the yoke of the m12 yoke .Three use a chryler/amc tf727 torque command transmission.Use the yoke from the m8 weld the head on to the spline of the 727transmission weld the m8 tail section onto eather transmission and that way you can keep the torque tube suspension on your classic 770 with the 287.Your rear end should be an AMC 20 to stand the torque from the AMC 360 engine with about 350 hp .last but at lease get the trany mounts.

what I did was removed the 287 engine installed an AMC 360 .In order to do this you have to get an borg warner m11 bell housing from 67 to 71 .amc used borg warner transmissions until than. So you put the m11 bell housing on to the m8 transmission and get the motor mount for the AMC 360 engine

Change bulbs after replacing fuse.

Best to do is change the whole rear end to a Ford 8.8 They are common in wrecking yards....

Put a socket and ratchet on the bolt head on the crankshaft to turn the engine over by hand. Remove #1 spark plug and put your finger in where the plug was, turn the engine over till you feel compression and bring #1 up to top dead center (0) on the timing mark tab. Remove both valve covers and turn the adjusters out a full turn to loosen them and gives sloppy movement to rockers when handled. Now since this engine has hydraulic lifters, once you do this no other adjustment it required. With #1 @ top dead center, run the adjusters down till the rocker touches the valve then turn it another three quarter turn on both intake and exhaust. Go to the next one to fire and hand turn the crankshaft till both valves are closed and adjust both of those. Then to next one to fire and so on. This works fine for me because I'm old school.

Get new studs to replace what you remove because the only way to get them out is to drive them out to the inside with a hammer. Then pull in new studs with the wheel nuts till they seat.
