Torque settings 08 reg renault megane
Hi Paul
Sure no problem, only one small thing
Provide your VIN number in other terms vehicle identification number with the VIN I would know exactly which model you have engine installed gearbox installed and certain other factors, you can leave out the last six numbers for they are not necessary and are the serial number of your car look for something starting with VF1.
An adhesive label bearing the car's identity card can be found on the B-pillar or an adhesive label with the VIN can be located at the bottom - left of the windscreen.
It is essential for me to give the correct information!
I have a renault megane
What I would do is test the fuel pressure when it does not start or spray some brake cleaner. If it starts with brake cleaner then I would suspect a weak fuel pump. If still no start i would suspect a faulty ignition module if applicabe or a faulty coil.
Now if your saying the battery is loosing power over time and thats why you have to jump start it then I would charge the battery fully. Using a 12v meter hook to the battery. Turn only the headlights on for 3 minutes. This is to remove what we call tghe surface charge. Then turn the lights off. Now looking at the meter you should have 12.5v or more. Then start cranking the engine while still looking at the meter. If it drops to below 10v within seconds then the battery is toast. If it stays up over 12v then do the test again after you drive the vehicle and then allow the car to sit for awhile.. If still good then I would suspect a faulty starter or bad battery cables. To test,, with a jumper cable hooked to battery ground and the other end to the engine try again when its sat for awhile. If it starts with the added ground then clean all cable connections. You may need to replace the ground cable.
I have a Renault Megane 1.4 2000 model the timing
Yes it is as bad as the belt snapping, if your lucky there will be cutaways in the pistons so the valves may not have touched, its a bit tricky to check until you replace the belt and can check valve clearances and cylnder compressions,
or remove the head and check.
If you replace the belt it is often recommented to replace any bearings and pulleys as well, as a tight bearing may be the initial cause.
L reg, petrol, 3 door renault clio. n it squeals like a pig.
That is your trust bearing in your clutch assembly, its a cheap part but involves basically a clutch change to sort out, you can either live with it till the clutch fails or depending on how long its been since it was last changed, bite the bullet and get a whole new clutch fitted.

Clio 2002 authentique 1.2 8 valve stop light &
hi from uk the stop/handbrake light has two warning functions it will illuminate when hand brake is applied or is left on whilst driving or not fully off position ?? the other function is it is warning you that your brake fluid in the reservoir is low/requires topping up ? if it is low ? this could be due to a fluid leak ?either from pipes or wheel cyl's/calipers ? OR ? just that as your b/pads and shoes wear lower then fluid from reservoir displaces from res to cyl's to compensate for wear so may i suggest you 1st check fluid level+top up if low? then check for leaks as above more important have your brake pads and rear shoes or pads if fitted checked for wear/safety i advise this considering age/milage? of car and if you have no record of being checked/replaced recently? if your brake pads are fitted with low pads wear indicators this will also give warning hope this helps? good luck !
Can not get new brake pads on the rear of 172
The rear callipers contain the hand brake mechanism, they need to be wound back to install the new pads, have a look in your local car part suppliers/accessory shop, the correct tool is about £10 or so. You can wind it back with a screw driver and a "G" clamp, they need to be wound clockwise when you look at the piston through the calliper frame, use a large screwdriver in the notches in the piston to turn it, sometimes the screwdriver needs to be sideways, this will be fiddly as you can usually onlt turn 1/4 of a turn at a time, squeeze the piston back with the clamp after a turn or so and repeat untill the piston is back enough to allow the pads in.
