Trunk pull down in 1993 lincoln town car
There is a switch near the latch thats attached to the body of the car. It connects directly to the motor for the latch. This is the number one cause of this problem. You could check the motor operation by removing the switch (1 Torx screw & pull it up). Then connecting 12 volt leads to the 2 contacts on the motor itself. One way it should move up the other it should go down. The 3 wire connector has both positive and negative 12 volts. The polarity switches from the position of the switch on the trunk lid by the latch. The switch is about $30 on eBay and the switch and motor are about $150. Search for trunk pulldown switch for availability and pictures.

What would cause the heater to blow cold almost all the time on a 1993 Lincoln Town car?
If it is as you read the door control will be activated by a vacuum unit . Check for hoses that are missing cracked or broken. Move the control fro heat to cold and see if the door moves. The next thing to check is if the thermostat is not stuck open. Start the engine cold and see if the top radiator runs cold for say 10 minutes after which the hose should noticeably get hot quickly.

Ticking noise
You have a bad lifter if left unattended its starts by" ticking" then "tapping" then eventually ceases up!! The fix..... Have a compression test done on each cylinder and pull valve cover off and replace ticking lifter or u might just get lucky and adjust it... Until then ..... A heavier weight oil will quiet it down...Not a fix tho......

Code 332 what exactley is the problem also 181 189
116 = engine coolant sensor out of range172 = Right O2 sensor stuck on lean176 = Left O2 sensor stuck on lean181 & 189 = fuel system lean332 = EGR valve not responding correctlyI would recommend you have the codes cleared and see how many come back a second time, then troubleshoot those.Since the O2 sensors are working, it could be a vac leak or low fuel pressure among other things.

The selonoid is on the Starter which could be the problem.its proberbly sticking. Make sure its out of gear and when you turn the key get someone to tap the starter with the end of a bar or big spanner or if you can get at it a hammer.

1993 lincoln town car wont start
HelloThe engine
and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train
are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM
(Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the
computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some
exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature
sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in
its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems
memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read
you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and
resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A
TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR
HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

Air suspension 93 lincoln town car
Not really. The air bags act as replacement or extra coil springs to hold the car up.You might be able to replace them with coil springs from a Crown Vic.That may cause problems with the front air bags and the rest of the system.
