Scrap metal prices
The price of scrap metal really depends on the economy. For a while I was constantly watching the stock ticker to predict when the best time to turn in scrap metal was. You can find most common metals listed in the stock index.

My hood wont close all the way on my 97 Lincoln
First of all look for anything that could be obstructing from closing. if there is nothing in the way then you can adjust by taking a big flat head screw driver and a end wrench(not sure of size, trail & error) turn retaining nut counter clock wise until it just loose, then taking the screw driver turn counter clock wise one to two turns, then give that a try to see if your hood will shut. Again trail & error. note when you have it adjusted & it works make sure you tighten the retighten the nut using the screw driver to hold in place while you tighten the nut. Hope this helps you.
I have a 1993 lincoln town car signature series,
There is an odd-ball procedure which may help, although you may have additional underlying problems. Under the metal air horn that contains the throttle flap; there is a groove for vacuum flow to the EGR. All that is necessary to fix this is removal of 8 bolts and replacement of a $10 gasket.Clean the groove with a screwdriver tip or anything which will help de-carbon the channel. This defect will usually create a Code, but not always and other components down-line take the blame.Other than that, it could be a crankshaft position sensor or fuel pressure regulator. When you take the car out of gear, you can restore Vacuum levels, rev the rpm to increase fuel pressure, and perhaps clean off sensor debris that is providing the wrong data.Since you did not indicate Codes or trouble lights, there are machines which can be attached to your vehicle and will record a broader range of results. The mechanic will road test your car and ask questions to your car through this machine. One name for this machine I believe was "Odessey" but new machines are made and called different things.
Brake lines replace
I assume you either have no tools or no knowledgeI can't resist saying that, because 95% of the timeyou only use a 3/8" Flair Nut Wrench, on almost allbrake tubing fittings,so there is no way you evengot involvedThe time it took to ask the question you could have walked several wrenches to the car
Trunk pull down in 1993 lincoln town car
There is a switch near the latch thats attached to the body of the car. It connects directly to the motor for the latch. This is the number one cause of this problem. You could check the motor operation by removing the switch (1 Torx screw & pull it up). Then connecting 12 volt leads to the 2 contacts on the motor itself. One way it should move up the other it should go down. The 3 wire connector has both positive and negative 12 volts. The polarity switches from the position of the switch on the trunk lid by the latch. The switch is about $30 on eBay and the switch and motor are about $150. Search for trunk pulldown switch for availability and pictures.

Well test the alternator first. I should think you can do that with a simple voltmeter. It should read between 12 to 14 volts. Only answer I can supply, sorry.

What fault codes are present?
What would cause the heater to blow cold almost all the time on a 1993 Lincoln Town car?
If it is as you read the door control will be activated by a vacuum unit . Check for hoses that are missing cracked or broken. Move the control fro heat to cold and see if the door moves. The next thing to check is if the thermostat is not stuck open. Start the engine cold and see if the top radiator runs cold for say 10 minutes after which the hose should noticeably get hot quickly.
