just put your tow bar up to the frame, it already has threaded holes in the frame to fit the bolts that came with your tow bar to it. It's really easy. everything should line up perfect

The U code is for communications between computers. There are several in the car. It could be a bad wire or computer. Post the code numbers.

Battery is dead. Maybe some. More specifics would be helpful. If it's a manual (which I'm pretty sure it's not because you don't seem smart enough to operate one) then make sure the car is in neutral gear and you have the clutch pressed down. Manual cars won't start in gear.

Best to have a local shop read the computer error code from the car's OBD. My guess it has nothing to do with the parking slant. More likely a fouled O2 sensor or worn out catalytic converter. Could even be a loose or poorly sealing gas cap. Just sold my 2002 GLS AWD with 291,912 miles. Still runs great... doesn't burn a bit of oil between 5,000 mile changes.

had this problem myself.... you gotta go in through the back and take the plastic/vinal cover off the rear door and look for the lock from the inside..... unlock it .... open the door and then you can repair and lube the mechanism while standing outside like a human being. its not very hard to do.. just take your time and don't force anything.

I guess I should start by saying that trouble codes do not instruct the mechanic to replace a component. Only to check it. Code 31 is for a problem with the heater circuit for that O2 sensor. The sensor is not warming up fast enough to satisfy the engine computer. Since you have replaced the sensor, the actual problem could be in the wiring or the source of power for the heater built into the sensor.

Code 174 means the fuel mixture for bank two is too lean. Bank two is usually the side with cylinder number two. The problem could be the O2 sensor or one of the fuel injectors.

If it is a gas engine, you normally would not have to bleed anything. The air escapes thru the injectors.

If the drivers side will not light up and pass/side will light up, they run on the same fuse. I would start with pulling the light bulbs out and check to see it there is power coming back at all, with a volt meter, if there is may have to clean off the contact points where the bulb fits in, if not may have to trace the wires back to front to see if something got cut, if you have trailer lights for towing look at the wires there to see if somthing has rubbed the plastic off the wires and grounding out. dose the turn signal light work on that side? and the reveres light work on that side?

I had a similar problem with 2 different cars - neither a Santa Fe, but in the first one, the problem was a clogged fuel filter. In the second one (and this is more like your problem), it was one of the coils in the coil pack. Betcha that is it!
