Hello! You need a scan tool. Have this checked by a qualfied technician as safety is involved. You may be able to repair it yourself, but have it diagnosed by a pro, and let him know that this is your intention. diagnostic equipment is very costly, and he needs to be paid for his time and equipment.

had new clutch put in my hyundai coupe 1.6 and clutch slave cylinder . when i press the clutch and put the car in gear all is good but when i lift of the cluth the car starts to shake

With the motor cold, I would remove the drive belt and try to turn the water pump pulley by hand. It should move freely and only make a gurgling noise like water moving inside the motor but should not make any metal on metal noise if it's working properly. This is likely your cause. The water will only weap out of the pump when the shaft of the pump is turning thus the intermmittent leak when you park.

Also the radiator cap was probably removed to perform the leak check but you have to inspect the radiator cap itself. If the o-rings in the cap are worn you could lose pressure in the system and even though you might not see the liquid coming from the cap it could be shooting out through a rubber hose near the cap. If the water pump checks out I would try a new radiator cap.

the only information I could find on that engine is that it is apparently a Mitsubishi product, you might try locating a part number on the water pump, that would be very beneficial, then you could google the part number or even take it to your local parts store and have them locate it.

I dont quite understand what you mean . The clutch releases you transmission from the engine to allow shifting.

If you mean it wont release maybe its not the clutch maybe its the slave cylinder which pushes it or the master cylinder which is connected to the pedal. If its a cable maybe the cable is out of adjustment.

take off the cover on the hand brake u most likely too see a 10 or a 13 mm nut loosen it all the way and then follow up the cable up to the wheels then the rest is yours to work out it easy

you should have your car s computer scanned, go to any local garage equipped to scan computer and they will tell you what is wrong with your car

You should be able to follow one of the large lines from the radiator to the thermostat housing. The housing is on the drivers side of the block. One of the large hoses from the radiator goes directly into the thermostat housing.


Be sure not to damage the wires to the collant temperature sensor when removing the thermostat housing.

hi have tried to send instrunctions anddiagram as req'd but for some reason the em address you posted ? computor does not recognise address have tried 4 times with no success ??? the engine you say is 4 cylinder 16 valve dohc double overhead camshafts assume 2-0 litre ? theonly engine i have and assume is same engine as sonata which i tried sending is this correct ? have not had problem e mailing instructions for same jobs in past and were helpful so any ideas ?

sounds like a fuse issue ...locate your fuse box and either pull the fuse listed on the underside of the cover to find the blown fuse and replace it or with the use of a test light you simply hook up ground clip and test each point of every fuse one by one from the top lead to the bottom lead of the fuse one by one until you find the one that's blown usually one of the first 2 rows starting from top ...also note there should be 2 that wont light at all as these are your crank fuses and 1 i believe for the horn these should be towards the bottom of the fuse panel i believe tghey are 10 amp fuses that do not pertain to your issue .
especially when you said the radio does not work should be a clue to be a fuse i hope this helps you

first turn the ignition on but not all the way to start it. listen to see if you hear a whining noise. your trying to listen for your fuel pump. if you dont hear it then open the hood and locate your fuse box. inside the box there will be a label remember your looking for the fuel pump fuse. when you found the fuse pull it out and hold it to the light. inside the fuse you can see the contact. look to see if its one piece or you can see a burned spot on the fuse. start there then well move on to the next thing
